Friggin excited for a fresh new Runner! Looks like a good implementation of touch-slashing and running. Definitely on the lookout for this.

The gameplay on this looks really fun! Nice combination of a side-scroller and a slashing game, and makes good use of the iOS interface. There's some nice subtle stuff you're doing with the background there too, like how the bamboo in the forest background subtly curves as it reaches the edges of the screen.

I find the backgrounds themselves really well designed and illustrated... However, and I hope will will pardon my saying so, but because they are so bright and have so much value contrast, they distract from the important parts of the game, ie the characters and the enemies. It would be easier to see what was going on in the game if the contrast were greatly decreased in all of the backgrounds.

But you didn't really ask, so I apologize for the late crit and wish you the best of success for your game!

thanks for the feedback!

emdash: Your comments are welcome, actually looking at screenshots and videos we can get that impression, but the foreground is much more clear when viewed on the device.
