exploration platformers ???

Hi all.

I'm a very long-time lurker, but this is my first post on these forums.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any decent exploration platformers, perhaps a bit like VVVVVV or maybe the old Monty Mole games? Or even like the wonderful free game Redder?

This trend of short-burst platformers (League of Evil etc.) ain't really doin' it for me.

I'm not after Metroidvania style games (though I tremendously enjoy those as well).

Thanks for any help.

I think Cordy should fit what you're looking for. You can try the first six levels for free.

Cordy does indeed look interesting.
I'm off to download it this very minute.

Thanks!

Nice. Anyways, I don't think too many iOS platformers really focus on exploration. You should go ask syntheticvoid. He's played them all.

Alrighty, I had a bit of a play with Cordy, and it is indeed very nice.

But... I can't put my finger on it... it just isn't lighting my fire, in the same way that Paper Monsters didn't. It is a top-class production though. The devs have some real talent.

Yes, I'll be looking out for Swordigo as well. That looks excellent.

RWK is an absolutely wonderful game from a very talented dev, but not quite what I'm looking for.

I'm more after the kind of large flick-screen platformers like VVVVVV that have a large map, where you need to collect trinkets etc. (although without VVVVVV's famous difficulty).

Indeed there seems to be a dearth of them on the appstore.
