I am looking for this info as well. I am in the fiery depths, but have no idea where to get the third spell.

Bring a potion as well, if you haven't been doing so already.

But using fire/ice buffs and grinding should help a bit? Maybe?
Well, yes, I can go away, grind to buy better armour, bring a potion, etc. (And I most likely will.) But in a way that's my point: these later boss fights become a war of attrition, highly dependent on luck. In the best games in this genre, if you are good enough, you can win any boss fight without taking a hit, or near enough. Now, this is still a great game, and miles in front of anything on iOS, but it does have these flaws that the very, very best examples of the genre on any platform do rise above. I think acknowledging them can only make the game better.

Have to agree 100%. I only beat the game because of luck after 30+ tries with the last two bosses... But there's great examples of platformers with boss battles that are challenging, but still have patterns that you can learn, and eventually pull off perfectly, where a lot of the fun is in figuring out those patterns... But here, it's less about patterns, and more about just being lucky enough to survive the battle... With a little tweaking, these bosses could become 'epic' instead of just messy all out hack n slash frenzied action...

Then again, maybe that's exactly what the Devs were going for... Less pattern based, more 'hold on to the edge of your seat, oh no wait, get frustrated until you get lucky, or exploit a bug' kind of gameplay...

... Never know. =oP

im tired of games being too easy cuz people don't want to work to see the ending...

of course Gabrien, you are entitled to your opinion regarding difficulty, but I find that things like "i can't get past this, make it easier" is what makes iOS games to be taken lightly.... It's no wonder almost no serious gamer takes iOS seriously...

NES games are the perfect example(First Legend of Zelda comes to mind)... very ing hard, and no one complained.... now people complain if it takes more than 1 try, or if it takes 1 try with their eyes closed.

Honestly i like that this game makes you feel that way..... Gives me hope that, while this game is fun, it will ramp up in difficulty... otherwise imma get bored quick

I really hope you can finish this game and fun, but i also hope the devs don't listen to your comment on difficulty and make it easy to finish... sorry to say it like this, but I'm really tired of playing easy games on iOS =/

And i don't mean no disrespect towards you, I just really don't want a lower difficulty and i tried my best to say it without starting troubles

While I do, in part, agree with a lot of what you write, I too long for the challenges like the games of yesteryear, it sounds like you haven't completed this particular game yet, or even reached those extremely challenging parts yet..

It is hard in a way that could remain hard, but not quite as frustrating with a few tweaks by the developer.
For me, the latter part of the game could be made less frustrating with a few more portals.

There's some parts near the end where you have to go through one extremely challenging part after the other, die again and again, just to meet the boss with very low health, only then you can begin to try and figure out the strategy to beat him. And die.

Rince and repeat. Again, again and again....

I'm currently fighting the very last boss, fortunately there's a portal just before you meet him, however, when I thought I finally beat him, after countless tries, he changes form to a clone of my character that is double as hard as the previous bosses, and so far I can't beat him.
To try again, I have to beat the previous boss again!

Have to do it all over again, and again, and again...

The latter parts of this game really is a tad too hard for my tastes.

This comes from a guy who beat the original pc editions of Prince of Persia 1 & 2.
And they were HARD..

Hi guys!
I love the game, but I suspect the difficulty will get worse for us casual platform gamers.
I am stuck and hope that someone will help me.
I am at the portal where the elf girl is - she is telling me not to go down..that crazy fire bat thing - Wow, isn't that a bit difficult?
I guess that down is not the way to go, so I go up where the cemetery is and I cannot jump to the skeleton with the sword. I thought that I've managed to perfect the double long jump...am I doing something wrong?
Then there is the 3rd option and I know that this is the way to go ( King's road I think) . I arrive at the bridges suspended in air ( water is down below)and I cannot get to the second one because there is a rock in the middle of the first and second one and it knocks me in the water every time I jump.
I have most of the treasures -but haven't managed to get the one above the wheel where you have to rock the "bridge" - it is too far- is that the treasure that is preventing me from getting further?
Soooo want to play this game more.
Sorry for my english and a long post.
Please help.

I can understand both sides of the difficulty factor near the end of this game, i'm really enjoying it but now i've reached close to the end i'm getting frustrated as anything.

Granted games in the 80's and 90's used to be very difficult, specially in the 80's as you couldnt save your progress in most games. But when games are free, 69p or so with iOS you tend to go from one game to the other quite quickly if you're frustrated with the one you're playing at the moment.

In the old days when a game cost a lot of money (and you didnt earn much) you tended to perservere much more, but when theres so many free games or 69p games to move on and play I personally dont want some tricky frustrating end to a game or i'll simply just move on and play something else.

The first 80% of this game i totally love, near perfect but now the difficulty setting is just getting frustrating time and time again, as others have said it seems i need a bit of luck in beating some of these end of section baddies.

Swordigo is absolutely perfect as is. Please do not make it easier. I have been waiting for a game of this quality for a long time and I hope this sets a new standard for what the possibilities are for an iOS game. This is one of the extremely few games that I have not deleted after a few minutes. (One of the others being Soosiz)

During the harder parts of the game, I found memories of the glory days of NES/SNES flooding back. I didn't think the game was difficult just for difficult's sake, but it was challenging and then extremely rewarding when finally defeating the last few bosses.

p.s. For those having trouble with the final bosses, I found that the trinket that heals you was invaluable.
