Hi guys,
Thanks for your interest and great feedback! I am definitely looking forward to expand on the core game concept and add more replay value through more variable power ups and enemies ! Every game is a never ending work in progress, and nothing is more valuable than having a die-hard gamers take the game and dissect it like this! I'll keep polishing the game, and will post updates here. Best, Nenad

I beta tested this game and I really enjoyed doing so. It is an endless verticle runner and I really appreciated that it brings a new gameplay mechanic that I have never seen before. I also like the retro aesthetic of the game and the humor in the monsters and the death descriptions.
The speed in early release of the beta seemed really high and it was perhaps too challenging although the last versions I played seemed quite manageable. It seems that the developer has ratcheted the difficulty way down in the release, at least in the very early going, and I like that it becomes a bit more of a puzzle game (where you try to get more "power ups" before ascending further) instead of just a frantic arcade play for survival. It does speed up after a minute or so and then I find I have to focus on just staying alive. Right now there is an issue with Game Center support, but the developer has told me an update is already submitted which fixes this. I look forward to seeing how I am doing on the leader boards against the competition. |

It keeps your high score, but I don't see any local leaderboard. I should have mentioned in my previous message that the developer indicated that once you download the update with the GC fix, your existing high score information will be saved and uploaded to GC.

Enh, even my one top score will do. I guess when I say leaderboard it just means top score tracking be it 1-20 spots.

I just got some time in with the game and have to say I'm pretty impressed. It is an original yet retro take on the endless runner (well endless climber more accurately).
Gabrien has some points that can't be ignored, it is pretty repetitive and the character rank/upgrades are fairly subtle, but I still find it incredibly compelling! ![]() Your primary goal is to spin the stacked horizontal rings of this endless tube to line up ladders and climb as high as possible. Your primary dangers are falling off crumbling ladders or getting jumped on by a baddy. Baddies are something the player must avoid at all costs if without a weapon and can be engaged if you have a weapon. While being armed guarantees your victory in your next monster meetup, slaying a beasty will use up your weapon (or at least one of them if you have multiple). You also might get lucky enough to find a jetpack or two in your travels which will give you huge vertical boosts up the tube! Even though your score is based on how high you reach, your character experience (the points used to unlock further characters) is based on monsters killed (requires a weapon) or computers smashed (harmless video screens that you can smash unarmed and, if armed, will not use up a weapon to smash, you just need to spin your current ladder underneath it) in a run. Later characters tend to have better stats (can carry multiple weapons and are more likely to find jetpacks) but actually up the challenge as well since they'll start at much higher points in the tube (which means faster moving gameplay and more monsters) and might be heavier (which means you can't hang on a broken ladder as long before it completely falls apart). In order to maximize your score you need to pick which unlocked character works best for you (or you can just pick the character with your favorite graphical theme, as it changes with each one). 4.5/5 |

I really like the term "endless climber" for this game. I have never heard it before. Did you coin that, LordGek?
Also, I think you did a really nice job summarizing Spin Up. |

Endless Jumper Endless Faller Endless Runner Endless Climber (technically this could be true if going up or down) Endless Driver (if in some land vehicle) Endless Flyer (if a bird or in a flying craft) But then it gets a little fuzzy... What is some endless game in a boat/watercraft? An Endless Floater? An endless game where you are tunneling is an Endless Digger? As I was just saying to nenadkatic, I'm really loving how these upgraded characters aren't always straight across better, like the rank 5 guy has some decent benefits but one REALLY nasty disadvantage.

LordGek, it is so funny to me that you picked up so quickly on the changes in character attributes as you are upgraded in this game. The reason is that all through beta testing this game and then playing the release version I didn't pay much attention and just assumed it was all getting better as I upgraded. Kudos to you and shame on me. I promise to pay better attention in the future.

I just picked this up but I'm enjoying it so far. I love the pixel art and was happy to see the developer posting here.
FYI GC Sandbox works
