Any good reason why my posts won't, well....post?

I attempted to be posted twice now:

Having never played the original games, therefore not bound by the expectations those games have established, how does this measure up purely as an IOS game? Watching videos, the game looks pretty awesome, and I'm pretty forgiving with graphics so those don't bother me. Tough to balance the negative remarks stemming from expectations related to the original games compared to negative remarks that genuinely reflect this solely as an IOS game.

Sorry Harv, you seem like a good guy, but you are off the mark on this one. That's what context is, man. His prior comments feed directly into why certain decisions were made. Without seeing his other comments, the reader is forced to assess the remark solely on what you selected to include. He talks about why they took a different approach for this platform and, whether you agree with it or not, it is relevant to the discussion. That's why context is important and that's why you should have linked to the article.

Again, in your response, you are asking me to chime in a specific snippet of a conversation that you are using to give people a negative impression of the guy, the company, or the game. I've never been to their forums, I don't know these guys, and I'm not going to attempt to paint a picture of them, whether good or bad. That's exactly what I'm arguing against.

What I want to talk about is the game and I did. Your comments about the game are just as relevant, but discussing the rest of this is unnecessary, in my opinion.

Well, we have our positions, and I do respect yours even though it doesn't agree with mine.

In any case the link to the full post and their forums is there now for everyone to make their own minds up as to where the company and game are, and are going, on the platform. My mistake for not including it in my original post, and apologies for that.

That's the thing... I'm in the middle with both genres... I don't hate them, but sometimes I can get confused and frustrated with both types
Does this have skirmish?

Same here, dude. We're over it; no apologies needed.

Cheers

I've never played any game of this kind. Is the tutorial enough to make me understand the most of it?

Maybe being a little simplified isn't a bad thing for people like me, who don't usually play war games of this kind.

Harv, read your post.

1. I expect a CMBO and this is definitely not. A bit let down.

2. I think this game is not even on par with CMBN but as a light-hearted game, I think it is fine. I don't have an iPad2/ new iPad so i am practically on the fence. Will wait for the update to decided.

3. I am not very wild about Carcasonne and Ascension not on your "worthy" iOS game list!!!

Edit: My handled on BF forum was GriffinCheng+ and I am not on it for quite a long while. I am still an active (against the same guy) player of CMAK.

I took a leap and bought the game! While the graphics aren't as bad as I thought they would be, the scrolling is pretty choppy. We'll see what the next update brings.

Doh! {slaps forehead}

Carcassone! Of course it should be on the list...one of my perpetual favourites that's always on every device I own (right beside Neuroshima Hex). My bad. Still haven't tried Ascension yet, though it's waiting patiently on my Appshopper wish list for me to find the right time to pick it up and take it for a spin.

I definitely remember your handle, and we probably had a PBEM or two back in the day. Looks like the community is still going strong over there, with lots of familiar names still posting. Plus the Peng Challenge Thread (MBT) of course.
