I wonder if they release a separate HD version with much better hi-res sprites, as was the case with Espgladuna (sp?) and Dodonpachi... I don't think this version is visually as good as those two iPad 2 & 3 / retina iPhone 4S-specific reworked titles.

Remember when I swore off all things CAVE because the IAPs in Deathsmiles rubbed me the wrong way? For some reason I had a change of heart and decided "oh hey, I've spent maybe 50 bucks on every CAVE title on the App Store, so I should take the cactus out of my ass and put them on my device" and well... yeah, they're not coming off.

Oh, those Engrish descriptions.

Anyway, it's Mushihimesama Futari, one of the best CAVE games, it's Universal (maybe not Retina-HD, but Universal), it's 5 bucks, and I don't miss the smartphone-specific modes on the other games.

re: the IAPs in Deathsmiles: now that I think about it, CAVE tried a bit of everything to sell their games:
- iPhone-only, with smartphone mode (EspGaluda II, DDP Resurrection), followed by iPad rereleases (HD): it was okay, but a bit bummed out that the HD rereleases are the Universal ones.
- same as above with IAPs for smartphone mode (Deathsmiles): yeah, that didn't go well.
- Universal from the get-go, no smartphone mode, a bit cheaper (Bug Princess 1 and 2): so far, that's my favorite one.
And Dodonpachi Blissful Death followed the first model, so I'm confused a bit.

What I would find just fine is the "Bug Princess" model, with IAP to purchase the Black Label mode (or the smartphone mode if it exists). That way, one version for all, and the possibility to add something consistent, but not mandatory, to the game.
