Default Game Impressions

Been playing On the Wind for a while now, so now I can comment.... impressions:

the good: interesting and challenging gameplay, lots of achievements to get, fast scrolling amazing art, specially the fade in and out of the loading screen its very nice

the bad: on an iPhone 4, your finger gets in the way when the path narrows to slow corridors... would like to see that iPad d-pad option on the iPhone too... hard to get some achievements... needs an endless mode....

conclusion: I was right about my hunch.... liking it a lot after my first hour

There is an achievement that says: "Collect every leave"... maybe impossible?

Dont know actually imo i prefer having a conclusion/ending to a game, tiny wings/doodle jump etc become boring after a while with Jetpack Joyride being an exception, those games once you fluke a really highscore then after that you dont even come near it unless by chance-it loses its playability-just my opinion tho

This game needs relative touch controls; the direct touch means my finger is always on top of the leaves and I can't see what I'm doing.

Also agree it needs endless mode.

And there needs to be an option to turn off auto pause. Really annoying the game pauses everytime I lift my finger.

Really like this one. It feels like the dev succeeded in creating precisely the game he wanted to make.

I'm on the iPad and there are no control issues whatsoever. Have yet to try it on the iPhone.

I have to agree with this needing an alternate control scheme as at the minute I'm finding no matter how I play my fingers covering all the action.
But even with that this is still a very cool nice looking game.

What about tug-of-war local multiplayer where players are competing winds. Either they are trying to get leaves to THEIR "goal" or maybe one end is bad (Ill Wind That Blow's Nobody Any Good)...that wind is trying to blow objects away, the other wind trying to blow them back. One map could be a lake with sailboats, one a park with the ill wind trying to claim hats, umbrellas, kites, whatever. So, instead of a showdown a blowdown

Game looks great, will be grabbing it. Well done

Incredible. I play on an iphone 4 and love the game. True: the finger is always in the middle, but you can choose in the options if you're using the left finger or the right finger. It helps a little, and in the end the finger is the action! Just take it through all the paths you want to gather leaves from

I agree with the relative touch controls, i want this game on the ipod but my finger cover all the action so at the moment it lives on the ipad but this isnt the kind of game I usually have on that device.

Agreed. Cool game but for me unplayable on an iPhone as I can see nothing but my finger. I'll try it on the iPad, but hopefully relative touch will be added soon...
