Considering the obvious inspiration of the game, I'm kind of surprised it didn't offer motion controls from the start.

The update is now live. You can choose the new control scheme on the pause screen or game over screen, the left/right handed button will now cycle to high sensitivity also. The default setting is about right for both using your finger or thumb but you can alter the sensitivity in the main menu options page.

@GeekyDad This adds a high sensitivity control scheme so you the leaves don't follow your finger one-to-one, and should be more visible most of the time. It doesn't add motion (tilt) controls.

Great! Back to play as soon as I can

UPDATE: Got 96,000 and almost survived winter... nice new control scheme, thanks a lot!

I don't understand this new control scheme; it doesn't seem like relative touch at all. I don't get it...

@SuperWeird When you touch the screen a box will flash up, this shows the control area, where ever you touch within that area is relative to the full screen. If you let go and then touch the screen again the box will reposition, this lets you use any area of the screen that's comfortable. This is always what I've considered 'relative' controls.

No matter what I do or where I touch the leaves still appear under my finger. I want to be able to touch anywhere on the screen and control the leaves from afar, that's relative touch. This is just touch.

Is tilt being added in as a control option or not? Probably gonna delete this one for now. This game just doesn't work for me with touch controls. I do however, appreciate the efforts of the Dev here for trying to add better control schemes...

@SuperWeird really sorry you're still have problems, it actually sounds like a bug might be stopping the new controls from working properly. It's the first time I've seen this so I'd really appreciate it if you could give me some more information and hopefully I'll be able to track down the bug.

What device are you using? Which iOS version? What is the sensitivity setting set to? (In main menu, press options, and there is a 'high sensitivity setting' slider, there's no number but where abouts is it set?) And is there a box flashing up around your finger when you touch the screen to play the game, and how big is it roughly?

Again, really sorry you're having problems, and sorry to have to ask you all these questions.

@Snooptalian Sorry, I'm not working on tilt at the moment, I think the current game is probably too fast paced for tilt and wouldn't give quite enough control. There could definitely be a new game mode added solely for tilt controls, with adjusted gameplay and environment. I'll add it to the list of future updates to work on.

I'm having the same issue as SuperWeird--can't seem to get the new control scheme to work.

I'm playing on an iPhone 4S and running the latest software; I've tried playing with the High Sensitivity setting all the way to the left, in the middle, and all the way to the right (low, medium, high) but haven't seen the relative box appear at all.

I noticed that when in the Pause menu, you can select Left-Handed, Right-Handed, and then the High-Sensitivity option. I was a bit unsure if they were three separate options or how that was supposed to work. Maybe that's contributing to the issue.

Hope this helps to run down the problem. Keep up the good work.
