And I'm assuming ur getting those times with something other than the magnet/furnace setup in which case other people should be trying the same. I don't understand why u say If they nerf that ur times would never be beaten? I guess ur talking about ur times on the levels in which u did use that combo and in that case it doesn't matter because there's a new tournament everyday. These ideas are more for everyone and the general good people that play and not the best. With the focus mostl on learning to collect snowflakes early on and not mainly going after coins.. |

For pretty much all my recent (which are now my best ever) have been from that combo of Coin Furnace/Magnet..and if they nerf those then no one will ever beat my best times, because the other trinkets won't allow you to go nearly as fast.
They simply just need to make the other trinkets better, though not a WHOLE lot better, but they need to be better. |

Hi all,
Just wanted to throw my two cents in about the game. I bought it about a week ago and it has been pretty consuming of my time since. The daily tournaments are genius and keep me coming back again and again throughout the day checking my time. I have gotten progressively better and now am consistently in the top one or two in the platinum cup every day (today I got cup leader in three races and 2nd in the other). With that said, one thing sticks out for me. I think it's a shame that there is no way to see the all time fastest times for any of the races (I'm talking about globally all time). Only having point totals in game center seems odd and not a stat that I really care about. I do love seeing my rank go up and checking out other people's ranks that I'm racing against but that's where it ends. Beating my own time is fun, but the competitor in me wants to know where my time stands overall. I wonder if this would be difficult to implement in game center or even in the game itself? Maybe a top ten all time times list for each race built in the menu? Does that make sense? Also, one incredibly small complaint I have is I feel like the hit box for the pause button is a little bit small. I restart a lot and sometimes I feel like I have to hit the pause button two or three times for it to work. I don't know if that's because of lag with the game or what, but it's just an observation. Other then that, I LOVE the game and can't wait for the next update. See you in game (pudgesmack). |

Alright, we're adding top overall time leaderboards due to popular demand
![]() And since they won't take effect until AFTER this next update, we probably can nerf the OPed combos and not have it affect much of anything. So, we'll be taking a look at coin furnace/magnet... anything else that needs to be looked at (under or overpowered)? |

Hey guys, for more info on the upcoming Battle Mode, check out the Upcoming Games thread! Battle Mode will be both a stand alone, separate free version (without the tournament mode), and an update to the current version of Sky Gnomes... we're hoping to give an easier way for players to invite friends and battle them with a separate free version.

Might we eventually see a similar Battle Mode in the premium version, but with our upgraded characters? Evidently, this would rarely be competitive and fair, mostly for fun, though in the case of fully upgraded characters, this could lead to quite fierce and competitive battles, where trinket combos really made a decisive difference. (Also, is there any hope, if ever so distant, for an earlier request of mine in this thread, a real-time player versus player mode?) |

Initially we had it so you could use your stats in Battle Mode, but ultimately found that would suck for friend matches... its not really that fun when you're a new player matched up with your friend who's a pro who would have all maxed out stats -- so not only do you lose bc you're less skilled, but you lose bc they are also statted up
For a competitive 1v1 mode, we wanted to make sure first and foremost things were on an even keel with all players, and that the person with the most skill wins. Our ladder system is similar to something you see in competitive RTS's like Starcraft 2. As for a real time mode, thats a huge beast (with potentially TONS of costs), which depends mostly on how well Sky Gnomes does in the future. Its something we'd love to do, but it just depends. |

However, eventually, we will all reach the cap, the point where we have all trinkets, maxed all stats, etc. And between maxed out players, stats in Battle Mode would probably only make the experience far more exhilarating. Trinket combos experimentation would be more fun than ever, as we would probably challenge each other time and time again, just to see if our finhaticedrill can beat his hatfurnacemagnet ![]() Quote:
