We actually took a poll in beta, and the opinions on the trinkets was very split in the middle. We found many players liked the mystery - the idea behind it was to promote wanting to build and experiment with new trinkets. Otherwise you might just get 3 trinkets and call it a day. I know hardcore gamers probably would rather know everything right off the bat, but I do think it adds an interesting element of discovery. That being said, the lvl 1 trinkets are probably too expensive, which is taking away from some of that explorative element... Which we will fix in the first update.

Yeah found the power-ups (red question marks)

The only thing that transferred over is Game Center ranking.

My newly unlocked levels, coins, iap etc will not.
Hope this gets fixed as I want to be able to take it on my phone

Great game though. Very addicting and I hope you guys get more exposure for it.

As for the power ups each power up only gives a chance to spawn. So you can't just get boost powerup and game the system so you get boost all the time. ECG new powerup increases the chance to get them. We should probably word the unlock descriptions better to be more clear.

I think you need to go into the game, view players (or whatever the option is on the main menu) and then Restore. That worked for me on my brother's roommate's device - now he has everything unlocked that I do.

I love this game!

Just overall well done, great gameplay, tons of vehicle combinations, different ones for different levels etc.

Couple thoughts: Perhaps some structures can be placed in future levels, im thinkin like kinda a bobsledding course, creating some increased sense of speed and fast turns.

I think the costs for vehicle level ups (speed etc) are fine, but perhaps the first level for the trinkets are a little high because we dont know what we are buying. Its not the gold thats expensive, its the parts, especially the more rare piesce, so like spending even 1 or 2 of those on a level 1 trinket really stings.

Good luck! Appadvice has given this game some exposure, TA gave it a little, hope u get more in the future!

If you don't mind sharing, what combo of trinkets did you use to get 34.09 on the City Cup?

What combo of trinkets are you guys using?

I've been using snow engine, magnet and coin furnace for decent times. I can never beat mook though.... he's insane.

Until something changes, and as long as the pilot is able to avoid obstacles, Im pretty certain the best trinket combination is magnet, coin furnace, and aviator hat. Mine are fully leveled up, and honestly, its the aviator hat that started helping me destroy times, though some folks have better times than me on certain tracks.

No IAPs for me, just played too much. I havent levelled up all the trinkets, but for now im gonna focus on powerups.

Sadly, the more ive played the game, the more ive realized that the top scores are ultimately going to be based on luck. For the one checkmark maps, the best score is gotten by getting a boost powerup, collecting all coins to get another boost, going through checkmark with all coins, getting another boost powerup (or the magnet powerup) after the checkmark, getting the remaing coins, and careening towards the end. Done in this way, there will effectively be a wall that is hit, where times wont be able to go much faster. The issue becomes having powerups placed in such a location where u can get the coins and the powerup, and that the powerup is speed rather than defense. Furthermore, one bad ice rock/cloud/sun/etc can trash a good run, hence repetition reduces variance.

Since I dont use any defensive gems, the top runs depend on good weather conditions, good powerup locations, and good luck.

Ive found, at least with my tirnket powerup, snow gathering is rather pointless, as coins get boost fast enough, and with the aviator hat the boost lasts long enough, to often make from one coin location to the next until the end. I can think of a couple other trinket combos that may be effective, but at the moment, my current setup is all about maxing out boost as fast as possible and frequently as possible, while using my own pilot skills and frequent flight attempts to avoid obstacles.

Yea, so I should have waited 14 more hours before spilling the beans, but whatevs.

Im interested in developer ideas to provide some more depth into the game. Im drawing a blank at the moment in order to increase the skill/luck ratio (skill is kinda more in the trinket loadout than pilotting I think), but the game is still fun and entertaining, im just not sure where its going from here.

Im pretty sure the fast city run time was from that same pattern, collected coins, got speed powerup, etc until the end. All my high scores are basically boost all the way through, except for the couple moments at the beginning before the first coins. If i can figure out a way to speed that up, well, then i dont know how to go any faster.

You know, our pro testers were saying the same thing but ultimately still found the game enjoyable. With or without luck there will always be a wall. The good part about luck (in a game like this where you have the freedom to race as many times as you want without negative consequences) is it gives you a reason to maybe HAVE to play a few rounds of mtn cup if you want that perfect run, instead of just flat out erring roughly the same time every time you race.

Also remember, the shorter cups are definitely more reliant on trinkets once you hit platinum league, because they're just that -- short. We were hoping better players would gravitate towards the longer tracks for more of a challenge. But still, 36 seconds on city cup is insane.

But also I do want to reiterate that we are lowering level 1 trinket costs in the next update. We want players to experiment more instead of getting stuck on just a few of the first trinket they bought. For ex some awesome combos are net, snow engine, and smokestacks. Or fortune ball, magnet and snow engine. Or something like air anchor, snow holder and steering wheel.

That being said, what are we doing to add depth?

As we mentioned earlier on the thread we will be adding in a 1v1 battle mode, complete with auto match, friend challenges and a competitive leaderboard. This mode has its own rules and special items (with NONE tht are speed based. Only stuff like shields, missiles, bombs, etc). Let's just say, this mode is going to absolutely rock

well if there is ultimate combination of trinkets and all other are useless than there is something very wrong with balance of the game and better to say you waisted time creating other trinkets, sorry if it sounds harsh. if there is balance than it will be fun enough to try different combinations anyway. prices are actually ok, just the parts are the problem. i dont know why there is such system actually. but you may also want to check the code, because honestly it does not look like wheal represent right probabilities to get items. and question, for example there are tasks like to get 100 coins in one run, but sometimes there is like only one row of coins so one have to equip some items or pick powerups in order to complete such tasks?

32.49 seconds on city cup! I think Gabrian and I have some healthy competition.

Awesome to see some modes not entirely speed based, i didnt mean to sound too critical in the last post, games like this will always have a wall in one way or another...its the daily competitive aspect that really separates this from the pack!

Also, I dont think there is a perfect/best combination of trinkets, though there are certainly some that are going to be more consistant with times than others. Though I think on the easier maps, the mountain cup, there will be a set of tirnkets that are just the best, cuz its so short and boost accelarants are required.

On the harder maps, however, I'm not sure if my setup is in fact the best. I think aviator hat, plus electro engine, plus the cloud plow (i havent unlocked cloud plow, but im assuming if you run into clouds you get a boost) will be a nice gear setup for harder maps because it turns all the environmental challenges into boosts, and the aviator hat makes all the boosts longer....so basically if you get the right mix of clouds and lightning, combined with smart piloting to collect coins and snow, one could deffinately stay really fast the whole way through. Im sure a couple other setups will similarily be effective.

Im REALLY curious as to what a full level fortune ball, plus net, plus coin furnace is capable off. The fortune ball can turn snow into coins, the net makes u catch more snow, and the coin furance turns those snowcoins into boost. Plus the fortune ball creates more powerups, so basically insteaed of waiting for the truck thing to deliver coins, the snow around u would act like coins, and the pilot is more free to aim for powerups, creating a totally differnt way of playing than I currently do.

Oi, now I realize i goofed, I should have said that my original setup was the best I had found so far, but there certainly are several really powerful setups that can work, I just havent levelled up all my stuff enough to really see how they all turn out....I went for a perk setup that helped me collect more coins, and used coins to create boost, so that i could get more coins to buy stuff.
