Haha no need to apologize. If the there was an ultimate trinket combo than I agree, we would've failed at our jobs of creating a balanced game From NYZ to BUg Heroes, we take balance very seriously. There is definitely no one string of trinkets that rules all, it's just most people can't freely experiment with any trinket combo they want, so it's more about just not knowing.

Also, the coins aren't random at all There is always 1 coin drop in between each checkpoint, and also a string of coins before each checkpoint.

I don't think this is a problem for 99.99% of buyers.

I really can't determine if this game is worth getting or not. Looks very promising though.

Awesome to see some modes not entirely speed based, i didnt mean to sound too critical in the last post, games like this will always have a wall in one way or another...its the daily competitive aspect that really separates this from the pack!

Also, I dont think there is a perfect/best combination of trinkets, though there are certainly some that are going to be more consistant with times than others. Though I think on the easier maps, the mountain cup, there will be a set of tirnkets that are just the best, cuz its so short and boost accelarants are required.

On the harder maps, however, I'm not sure if my setup is in fact the best. I think aviator hat, plus electro engine, plus the cloud plow (i havent unlocked cloud plow, but im assuming if you run into clouds you get a boost) will be a nice gear setup for harder maps because it turns all the environmental challenges into boosts, and the aviator hat makes all the boosts longer....so basically if you get the right mix of clouds and lightning, combined with smart piloting to collect coins and snow, one could deffinately stay really fast the whole way through. Im sure a couple other setups will similarily be effective.

Im REALLY curious as to what a full level fortune ball, plus net, plus coin furnace is capable off. The fortune ball can turn snow into coins, the net makes u catch more snow, and the coin furance turns those snowcoins into boost. Plus the fortune ball creates more powerups, so basically insteaed of waiting for the truck thing to deliver coins, the snow around u would act like coins, and the pilot is more free to aim for powerups, creating a totally differnt way of playing than I currently do.

Oi, now I realize i goofed, I should have said that my original setup was the best I had found so far, but there certainly are several really powerful setups that can work, I just havent levelled up all my stuff enough to really see how they all turn out....I went for a perk setup that helped me collect more coins, and used coins to create boost, so that i could get more coins to buy stuff.
That's precisely the route I took as well. Up till now, the two trinkets I see as a must are coin furnace and magnet. The third one I am experimenting with. Switching from ice drill to steering wheel allowed me to compete with Mook's latest times. Now I am curious to see what a maxed out anchor will produce instead of the steering wheel. And I will test out the aviator hat too after reading here. My initial impression with it was that I didn't really need the extra boost length but I could be wrong.

As for completely different combos, I guess we won't know for sure until we have them all maxed out and experiment. Which will happen with sufficient play. I think there's little doubt though that coin furnace/magnet/whatever is the best initial progression path for those who don't buy the IAP.

Alright...decided to buy it and I love it! very fun, have only played a few matches, but I can already tell I'll be stuck to this game for a long time!

Honestly, playing the game is just fun so the IAPs don't bother me at all! So I don't know what other players are talking about...Cause I just started lol and I can already within 4 games get my time record below a minute, currently have no upgrades as well. Currently have 58.27 record time...which is like 40 seconds faster then 2nd place in my league. Do NOT let other players complaining about the IAP thing bother you or prevent you from getting this game, its really a fun game. and I really don't see anyone able to put this game down without playing upwards of 5 matches everytime you start playing it, really a fun game. If your not too great at it at first, give it some time it will grow on you.

To reinforce the last post, I want the developers to know that after playing the game for a bit, the cost requirements / IAP balance really reminded me of temple run, if anything, slightly easier than temple run. I know they were shooting for this target, so perhaps that biases me a bit, but I never feel like anything is too far out of reach if I feel like getting it.

And for those wondering how to get money the easiest, just do the mountain race, with an increasingly upgraded coin magnet. Race is short, u get lots of gear piesces, and if your aim is good, you can get 150 gold or so every 30-45 second race. Thats what i did, and once i was able to upgrade the basics, getting gold got even easier.

Regarding the IAP thing, especially in light of what I said previously: while I maintain that consumable IAP will invariably affect any game's integrity adversely to some extent, in this instance it hasn't really affected my enjoyment of the game once I hit upon the best way to progress. Importantly, at the end of the day, players who purchased IAP and those who didn't will be on level ground, with the former getting there faster but the latter likely being more skilled.

I have been doing this, but I feel like the distribution and chance of receiving the different spare part pieces is a bit off. I know the gear has the lowest chance, but I find myself always needing more gears. Getting coins is no problem, but after investing in some trinkets (some just to see what they do) and a few upgrades here and there I find myself with a TON of gold, but always lacking on spare parts.
