I bought this game on day 1, but just tried the tutorial today. OMG, very confusing, especially compared to ascension. wondering how long i can learn how to play this. Looks awesome though...

Do not let the small pool of "hit points" fool you, a skilled opponent can end a game much faster than you expected (11->0) in one round. YMMV tough, it took me 3 days offline and another 4 online games to get a grasp of it. It is more duel like than Ascension and I think you would like it. |

While I do have lots of experience of TCGs from my distant past, I've never played a deck building game before Nightfall, I'm not particularly clever or proficient at board/tabletop/card games, and I'm not even notably dedicated or ambitious
But I grasped most of the mechanics of Nightfall in 5-10 minutes, and had them all down in twenty minutes to half an hour. So my guess is that many of you will pick up every single mechanic and rule, and gain thorough understanding of how they all fit together, even quicker ![]() (I will admit that Nightfall was the trickiest yet, even at its still rather quick half an hour of complete learning time. The mechanics of Cabals took 5 minutes to grasp, Ascension about the same, Shadow Era not even that long, and Assassin's Creed: Recollection, by far the most sophisticated of that bunch, perhaps 10-15 minutes of reading plus tutorial.) |

I'm going to try and learn this to prep for MTG coming in May/June, hope to see some of you online once I have the mechanics down.

Camzy, I don't see you on my "friend list" here but still on Ascension. Strange.
