Henry & Psionic Overloads - $0.99 IAP Unlock (RPG/Board Game Mix)
Highly recommended... free to download but one time IAP to unlock full turns has been reduced to $0.99 (previously $4.99).

What kind of game is it? It says its a mix of rpg and boargame but hows the gameplay? Very curious about this one.

My lord in grapes of wrath... RPG/board game?!? Oh I'm so giving this a go.
But I have to say I HATE portrait only games. Seriously. It's not do bad on the iPhone, but it's craptastic on the iPad.

Okay, this one is great but the shady IAP is stereotypical of these greedy companies. More consumable garbage.
Deleted and I'll have to seriously consider what I'll rate it, if anything.
Damn I hate the new app store!

It's similar to a board game in that there's a map/board your character moves around within a certain nunber of turns and that combat is handled by dice rolls. It's like a RPG in that emphasize is in workd exploration (you have to find 7 hidden vials of goo using hints from one location to the next), character customization (level up, equipt items/skills), optional side quests, and turn based combat.

In addition to the full game unlock IAP that was reduced to $0.99 there is some additional optional consumable IAP; for example the reroll pack let's you cheat by voiding a bad dice roll and it's harmful effects by rerolling. Maybe you can sense if these consumables were abundant it would break the game by defeating any challenge/appeal. If you get the $0.99 unlimited turns IAP you will have the full game.

You can also buy in game currency along with the rerolls.
I know. I know. "just dont use them". No. It's not thst simple, honestly. It's the idea behind it. There I no place for this here in this kind of game.
Sigh. I know I'm the fuddy-duddy detractor who complains about this sort of stuff, but seriously. IAP for a board/RPG game that has this much potential? Breaks my heart

You can't really complain about someone who has obviously put in a lot of hard work to make a game trying to get a little bit of cash for his/her work.?

Add more content into the game and if it's worth it, I'm all for shelling out the money.
When adding cash into a game can completely unbalance it, them there's an issue.
This kind of consumable IAP kills me....

Andsoitgoes - Everyone has there opinion but perhaps if you played more you would see how optional the IAP is. I hate compulsory IAPs but here it's just an optional way to cheat for the lazy or uninitiated. For example, you earn money in game so need not IAP anything.
