This is the first price drop for the HD version since the games release in February 2012, and the second for the SD version (if you include the launch sale).

Even so, I simply can't imagine playing any PoP game with virtual controls. Hope this eventually gets ported to 3DS eShop.

I already have this on the Xbox 360, but for 99cents for the iPad version, I bit and got it. Controls fairly well.

Hey someone tried this on iphone and ipad? Which version would you recommend?

I find that some games, specially platformers, play better on the iphone or ipod. Any thoughts?

Its very different to the Gameloft one, this is the original 1992 game with a visual overhaul, the Gameloft one is based on a more recent iteration of the game and is more of an action adventure.

Its a good game but it controls slighty different than usual platformers, the difficult is still very high and it feels like the product of a different era of gaming so prepare to die often till you memorize most of the traps in each level.

I got the ipad version and the controls feel solid but I do like PoP Retro better which by the way I think they pulled from the appstore so back up those IPA's if you own that one!

Nice game, plays very much like the originals but Im digging the old school visuals more and the control scheme on PoP Retro ( playing on an ipod) feels better for me.
