Nicely done, Sunlapse, grandfizzo3 and scruffyzero! I knew you'd get there, scruffy

And thanks to all for the really nice reviews and well wishes

Later on I will post a complete list of all the details that I will use to undertake the random prize draws. That way people will have the weekend to point out any scores or reviews that I might have overlooked.

And if you're still trying to make the cut - good luck!

The number in brackets after your name indicates the number of chances you will have in the prize draws. So, for example, when I put all of the names into a hat, you will have two names in the hat if you have a (2) after your name below.
  • 1st Prize Draw
    • Daver16 (2)
    • DRose1 (2)
    • armoko (2)
    • popblanks (2)
    • Zylch (2)
    • iANiMeX (2)
    • Rokrdude (2)
    • chapel07 (2)
    • dreadnok (2)
    • m13 (2)
    • mobcittty (2)
    • Agas (2)
    • scruffyzero (2)
    • Ekras (2)
    • grandfizzo3 (2)
    • Sunlapse (2)
    • bem69(2)
  • 2nd Prize Draw
    • Daver16 (2)
    • DRose1 (2)
    • armoko (2)
    • popblanks (2)
    • Zylch (2)
    • iANiMeX (2)
    • Rokrdude (2)
    • chapel07 (2)
    • dreadnok (2)
    • m13 (2)
    • mobcittty (2)
    • Agas (2)
    • scruffyzero (2)
    • Ekras (2)
    • grandfizzo3 (2)
    • Sunlapse (2)
    • bem69(2)
  • 3rd Prize Draw
    • Daver16 (2)
    • DRose1 (2)
    • armoko (2)
    • popblanks (2)
    • Zylch (2)
    • iANiMeX (2)
    • Rokrdude (2)
    • chapel07 (2)
    • dreadnok (2)
    • m13 (2)
    • mobcittty (2)
    • Agas (2)
    • scruffyzero (2)
    • Ekras (2)
    • grandfizzo3 (2)
    • Sunlapse (2)
    • bem69(2)
    • sleb (2)
    • burn (2)
    • Mr. Gamer (2)
    • kzwen (2)

And the current 'Rogues of the Sea' high score list:
  1. armoko: 7,521,875
  2. iANiMeX: 4,804,410
  3. m13: 3,980,500
  4. chapel07: 3,846,175
  5. mobcittty: 3,760,615

Not long to go now, everyone. If you haven't reached your goal score, but you still have a score that qualifies for a lesser prize draw, it's worth posting it before the contest closes. I won't be able to accept any entries after the closing date set out in the original post. Also, the 'Rogues of the Sea' high score list will not change after the closing time. And I will not update your score from Game Center or OpenFeint anymore. I will accept your score for the list only if you post it in this thread before the closing time.

I will PM those who only have one chance in the prize draws in case I have missed their reviews or in case they forgot to add one.

Please let me know if you consider that I have missed your score or missed anything else about your entry that you'd like for me to correct.

Good luck to those still competing

Edit:

Updated burn's entry to (2). Thanks, burn!
Updated armoko's insanely high score.

Edit 2:

Updated DRose1's entry to (2). Thanks, DRose1!

Edit 3:

Added bem69's score and review. Thanks, bem69!

A very well deserved 5 star review on the US app store as _burn:

I picked this game up a week or so ago when it came out for the kids, thinking that it would be a great game for them to waste some time playing. Then I started playing it and really got into it. This game is amazing! It's not easy ... but it's an absolute blast to play. The best features of it has to be the online leaderboards ... I've got a few GameCenter friends and we kept beating each others' high scores so we'd all get mad and go play until we've bested everyone again. We've had so much fun. There are numerous levels that, when you rank up, increase your score multiplier. However, the challenges to get to the next level can be quite difficult. The developers have mastered the "one more time" mechanic!

All in all, this is an absolute must-buy for any age.
I don't think I'll be entering the 1.5m level of the contest ... I just can't seem to get there. Good luck to the rest of you!!

Scourge of the Seven Seas! Big congrats, armoko. That's a really impressive score that's going to be tough to beat.

Cutlass Cove is no doubt the best pirate game on the App Store! With its combination of unique gameplay and pleasant graphics, various objectives and special power-ups also ensure that each and every level remains exciting. Although the controls can take some time getting used to, this game quickly becomes very addictive. Cutlass Cove incorporates all aspects of pirate life - sinking merchant ships for loot, avoiding enemy navy ships, and making rival pirate captains walk the plank, all with the ultimate goal of survival and domination. An assortment of special cannonballs and voodoo spells (such as whirlpools, traps, and ship disguises) make this experience even better.

That being said, there are a few recommendations that I would give to the developers of this app. My first recommendation would be to incorporate a multiplier for ricochet hits, to give a greater incentive when going for those harder shots. I would also suggest some way to recharge voodoo spells (such as by sinking a certain number/type of ships, reaching a certain score or point in time, or by picking up a special power-up).

Overall, Cutlass Cove is one of the most complete and enjoyable games on the App Store. Everything from gameplay to sound effects to graphics create an unique and unforgettable experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a new game to pick up, especially if you love pirate-based games. Kudos to Cheeky Mammoth for putting out a great quality game, and I'm looking forward to many more in the future.

Well I certainly wasn't expecting that quite so soon Great job, armoko! I was wondering how you'd go with the two Treasure Fleets with a single Powder Keg deployment, but I shall wonder no more
