Apple bars publishers from giving out promo codes for purchases on other platforms.

Like Combat Mission, I can live without when an app is not meant for iPad1, it is cool. My wifie gets the iPad2 and when a smaller iPad comes along, I would be the rightful owner to her device.

Since this game is pulled, as conventional wisdom says, it is best to backup the app onto a computer since this cannot be found in the "Purchased" section of the iTune Apps...

Simply hate the fact, that I bought an app for my iPad which won't run on it smoothly ever. As it will crash every time I try to make some fancy stuff with it. It's SpaceChem all over again, slightly wrong. They should optimize the heck out of this game, or implement an option to tone the graphics down for older devices. Closing and reloading and stuff won't work for most of us.
Don't worry, I have an iPad 3 and closing and reloading doesn't work for me either. I can play on a fresh reboot, shut down every running app, purge all the RAM and it still crashes all the damn time.

On my iPad 3, I find the game "stable", but functionally broken. On the bright side, the actual game engine for rendering the battles looks good and runs well.
The issues are mostly limited to the UI for the planning phase.
I find this encouraging since the core of the complex portions of the game is complete. I'm eagerly waiting for the next release.

I agree crashes are rarer now but no able to put on any command onto my unit is a big let down. This does not break the game, but it makes it less enjoyable.

Anyway, is there a way to have a unit break off? Let's say I have a fighter (bomber) group only attacks frigate and I notice that once all the frigates are gone, the fighter group just stays around getting shot by remaining cruisers and such.

BTW, apart from reading from here, how would I know the app would be back in store?

I saw this on another forum from the dev (or at least someone claiming to be him)

The game has been patched, to resolve a whole bunch of crash issues. Due to a slight annoying oversight, that patch itself had a bit of a functionality SNAFU, so once we spotted that, the game was yanked from the store until we can release a 2nd patch that fixes it all. Hence, it's unavilable for a few dayz.
