Following up on werechihuahua...no crashes on the 3 so could be memory related.

I also forgot how much I love this game....2 crimes against humanity however

1. No retina means that it doesn't look half as good as it should...and this game should look awesome
2. No DLC / additional content....as ive forgotten how to play it without all the extra goodies I've bought over the years lol

So is the crashing an issue on iPad 2? I can deal with the screen orientation problem but am not looking for a crashfest. Eh, maybe I'll just buy it. Seems the developer is planning to iron out the issues, and it looks crazy fun.

Please understand that the game itself is golden, however during the design of a ship I would crash no less than a half dozen times. Also, it seems it will consistently crash when you go to delete a design... every time.

In addition...

Names of ships are cut off when you go to deploy a ship, so if you are anal like me and have a naming standard such as...

FRGT MSSL 1a

You will only see...

FRGT...

It makes it difficult to drag the right ships out, especially since I cannot delete a design because of the crash issue.

Another issue for me are the sliders. They do not seem to sense touch for the first 3 or 4 stabs at moving them. Perhaps the developer can make the "sensing circle" a bit bigger, or the handle that I am suppose to touch more sensitive, not sure which it is.

A hint to those that are playing that I found...

If you want to clear your formations, point in one corner of the battlefield, drag a box over everything, and then point at one ship to drag off all. I think a Clear All button would come in handy for this task.

Overall, when this game loses the crashing, fixes the bugs, and enhances the "touchiness" of the game, and also takes advantage of the touch interface it will be a must have. I will stick with it because the core game is great, but I really hope the dev comes through with "Gold" support on the Class A title.

OK, looks like we have a fix for both the multitasking problem and the orientation bug. (At least, after flipping the iPad around for half an hour we can't replicate the problem any more). We'll submit an update to the App Store this weekend and it will be available as soon as Apple reviews and approves.

We're committed to fixing problems, so please feel free to email support -at- redmarblegames - dot - com with any repeatable bugs, crashes, etc.

Also, to answer the questions about DLC: all of the race expansions -- Order, Swarm, Tribe, Nomads, and Parasites -- will be available for in-app purchase in a future release. (By "future" we mean within a couple of weeks, barring something unforeseen). Not as sure about the Galactic Conquest (campaign) expansion. We'd like to do that, but it's a large task, especially on the memory-constrained iPads.

Thanks everyone for your support of the game, and sincere apologies for the bugs in the opening release.

Yeah I see what you mean and I almost avoided the acronym "rts" while describing this game because everything is done before the actual battle. It's really a difficult game to describe when someone is refferencing a 4x game

Just got this and WOW!

I've been wanting a game like this for years!

I would like to make a few suggestions for future updates though!
PLEASE give us retina support!
Multiplayer would be fun too.
I'd also like to be able to zoom out more to see the whole battle if possible.

Other than that I love this game and will easily spend wayyy too much time with it!

Ok... unfortunately I have to give up with this game entirely now until a decent patch release is made available.

So many bugs make this too frustrating to enjoy:

- If you leave the game and the iPad locks then the game crashes

- If you switch between physical and blueprint design on a ship a couple of times... game crashes

- Post Mortem pie-charts - how can you tell what ship you're looking at stats for? The ship names aren't shown anywhere?

These issues aren't hard to find - I'm just trying to play through the tutorial and already have encountered these. Admittedly the third point could be my lack of understanding.

This is a GREAT idea for a game and will be immensely enjoyable at some point in time but not right now. It's just not been tested well enough and for the premium price point (for the IOS market) I'm really not happy with this purchase at all right now.

"Post Mortem pie-charts" -Did not even seen those due to the friggin crashes.
Really not happy with this. Thinking about asking Apple to get my money back.

Let's hope Frozen Synapse will get the appropriate testing before relese. Sad to see an otherwise great game butchered like this; it's really bad for the whole "good indie games at premium prices" model. Next time I'll be way more cautious.
