I haven't crashed anymore, and I never encountered the rotation bug. I'd say wait, though. There's another update coming soon.

Hope you are right, and is the developer around here? <- Okay, I see it now...

Yes, the game definitely has high memory demands, and they need to fix that asap to make it playable on all devices. Retina and stuff need to come after that. Itunes says it's compatible with (all) iPad (models) -- it just forgot to tell me that it crashes all the time. I want my pie charts, dammit!

I finally pay the US$9.99 and try it out. It is not as bad as I thought but it still crashes mostly when I have done something with the ship design section. Since this rarely results in data loss, I can live with that for the time being.
I am thinking this game may get old a bit fast if there is no campaign in store. I insist this must be free add-on, making up for us who "suffer" due to the buggy initial release. :P |

Add me to the group that are experiencing frequent crashes. It's crashing on me all the time in ship design and literally every time I try to switch races on the deployment screen. Happening on my iPad 3 after a fresh reboot. A little upsetting, considering I paid $10 for a game that clearly was not tested nearly enough. I understand that there is an update already in the works to fix these issues, but they never should have been an issue to begin with. Also, retina support and the ability to zoom out to see the whole battle would be very welcome additions.

Your expectations are unrealistic. You must have noticed this happens a lot, most games are released with some bugs. If it's going to bother you, then just don't buy games in the first few days after release.

So this is a straight port of a PC/Mac game, yes? And it costs $10. And this is mid-April.
Why doesn't it support iPad-retina? |

I love the game on the PC and on the iPad, but folks are very well within normal expectations to expect better than this. Don't buy when an app comes out? Give developers that cushion, it is a dangerous precedent for the app market. |
