Haven't played it that much to really compare it just yet but I like what I see I definitely think it is better then Nova 2. Storyline is definitely much better and lots of voice overs. It does lack the arrow which helped you find the direction to go in, it does show you the next location with a distance tracker but it can be confusing to find at times.. but that's not really a bad thing just more exploring to do. Controls are perfect, graphics are very nice on par with the other games, weapons are all the same, so are the powers so far. Overall I think its a great sequel to NOVA 2, definitely worth the buy

No customizable controls just three choices, haven't played MC3 to compare it I bought it just haven't played it lol. No one to play with in multiplayers do not sure of that has lag

Played as a mech just now it was awesome! Also played in a vehicle, controls were iffy not very clear what to do. You were only in control to shoot though someone was driving. Aiming was a little tricky

Have never been a fan of Gameloft's on-rails stuff. Just seems to go on and on an on and on. Hope these sections are somewhat improved in this new outing.

If I remember correctly you could only customize the controlls when you went to the options menu in the pause menu, not in the main menu in MC3. Maybe it's the same here?
