Arcana's Defender By Studio Wander
Arcana's Defender is a light, charming, and frantic adventure of magic and mayhem. Cast spells and summons to stop the oncoming hordes from taking Princess Arcana back to the Evil Litch Lord's tower!
Arcana's Defender utilizes simple one touch controls and combines elements of strategic defense games and arcade style shooters to bring fast-paced action and strategic game play to your iPhone or iPod Touch.
Play they way YOU want with 3 difficulty settings and a variety of spells and upgrades. From casual to hard core, there is a little something for everyone.
This app does NOT require an in-app purchase to unlock levels. Stages and levels will unlock as you progress through the game. "Arcana's Key" is simply a short cut for those that wish to jump around out of order.
Arcana's Defender has been optimized for the iPhone4 and iPhone4s.
A NOTE FROM THE CREATOR:
I hope you enjoy A.D. at least half as much as I did making it. Feel free to send any feed back (criticism or praise) to me via www.arcanasdefender.com. I'd love to hear from you and I hope to share many more of my adventures with you in the future!
Go be a hero.

Yeah, a pretty simple one. Basically if you finish the level without letting any beasties by (perfect) you get 4 stars, more that go by fewer stars you get. Definitely not the main draw of the game, but its there for those who dig it. There is also an achievement gained if you get 20 stages with 4 stars.

Ok, I picked up this one.
First off, I get tired of constantly tapping to use my "bread and butter" as so described shot. Second, when scrolling through the store it keeps jumping around. If I scroll down a couple items, then try to scroll again, it puts me back to the top.
So far though, this is really damn good!
I would like to see some sort of fix to the tapping. Maybe it's just me though...

I'm glad you like it so far!
When I originally set out to make it I wanted to combine the frantic feel of a shooter along with the more strategic feel of a tower defense type game. I also hoped to allow people to play the way they want. Using turrets more than 'pew pew' or the reverse. If it turns out your in the majority, and there is enough desire for some kind of squeal or content update I'll definitely keep that in mind.
I will say this:
As you move on you'll probably become less reliant on the standard arcane shot and use more of the summon spells, especially once you get the Mana Well. Keep a couple of those on the field and with the extra mana you'll find you can have quite a few more summons doing the hard work for you.
Thanks for the note on the store scroll. Sounds like it might still be a bit squirrelly for some folks. I'll see if I can smooth it out on the next update... along with the misspelling on the front menu! Can't believe that got past all the testing :/
