You're right... with the simplified controls, I think you'll be screwed, but slide gesturing isn't really necessary with the 6 button layout.

Little late to the party but Instabuy! I'm glad the app size isn't too large.

It would be nice if they would support the icade. This game is just begging for it.

Out.
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/marvel-vs.-capcom-2/id508710184?mt=8 Although Capcom has released more than a few duds on the iOS, their games are among my favorites for the platform: Mega Man X, SFIV + Volt, Phoenix Wright, Ghost Trick, and now MvC2. Looking forward to more in the future. Last edited by backtothis; 04-24-2012 at 10:05 PM.. |

Well, I'ved never played this before, nor do I usually play fighting games. So I wanted to know how well are the touch controls implemented, and what is the best scheme? Replayability?

I don't really mind the controls. The thing I dislike is compressing the hell out of the sound and graphics far beyond where they should be to bring the file size down. The sound quality is especially poor.
The framerate on the 4s is quite sad to witness also. I remember how smooth the game run on the Dreamcast, so seeing it run so chunkily on the 4s makes me a little sad. I assume the ugly scaling system they have for the graphics has something to do with it. But, it's hardly coded well. That all said, it's three bucks, so I can hardly expect miracles

Agreed bigtime, though more <3 goes to her zombie humans/animals. I read she is low tier sadly.

The game doesn't look spectacular, but that's okay. The gameplay feels insanely fast after playing other fighters, especially on the small iPod screen. Way too hectic, but it's still fun as hell. It's pretty hard to keep up though compared to playing it at the arcade or on a console. Can't wait to try it out on the iPad. Interesting control schemes to say the least, but I think Capcom did a pretty good job with them. As people have stated though, the game is incredibly compressed..and it shows.
