I get them to change by doing some arcade. It usually takes two arcade playthroughs or close to that. However, you also have to get the characters if you expect to get better ones.

Hmm really? I had beat Abyss many times and played some score attack but still those 4 characters (Roll, Colossus, chun-li, Spiral)

Do I must buy these characters to get other characters like sentinel and iron man ? I've heard some people saying they have empty boxes instead of new characters after they buy those characters.

Dunno but that's what i did. Go into the shop after i beat abyss to check out which characters were available for sale, exit if i didn't want whi was available, then go into it again until the characters i wanted were available for sale. First ever character i bought was cammy, then felicia, then megaman

Wow. This game is so full of BS. I was playing arcade mode on easy, and got to round 3, and then the game completely screwed me. Hyrato (or whatever his name is) was taken down to about 10% of his life left, so I switch characters and all of a sudden he goes ape-s*** on my @ss and completely dominates me with all 10% of his health yet. And then my next character (who was also at FULL health) goes in, and he does the same damn thing! Wtf? And to top it all off, my third character goes in and get's his @ss whooped as well. Geezus.

When I look at the command list, there are usually 3 different kinds of Super Combo (Red outlined ones).
I only know one of those kinds, which is just simply tapping character icons.

4 buttons control can only selectively have 1 hyper combo only
Associated with which hyper combo will depends on your type alpha/beta/gamma

If you wanna to enjoy all hyper combos, use six buttons is a must

Iirc, you gotta defeat abyss in score attack mode to unlock them

Thinking of biting the bullet and buying this, despite the slower frame rate.

I think the frame rate is because this is a port of the original arcade version, not the latest console release which were speeded up.

How bad are the controls, do you have the option to enable touch super combos like the street fighter games?

Surprised they didn't add Game Centre, maybe it will come later.
