Default Game Impressions

i'm about 49% into the game & so far it's been pretty good. as to how the game works, i'd say it's more like infinity blade style where you're up one on one on the enemies, though the 2 games are rather different.

you'll start off immediately into combat in each area, with a string of enemies to fight before you reach the boss. combat is turn based, but i'd strongly encourage playing through about 20% to fully appreciate the mechanics, which i think was a good job. in short, you attack the enemies away from their line-of-sight, which is represented by a red cone that keeps swivelling on the ground, if your timing's bad the enemy will block the attack. further in, you get the ability to cast spells by drawing simple shapes on the screen. and even further in you get the ability to do a combo attack by successfully pulling off multiple attacks without being blocked. and even further further further in you gain fury, which lets you use some new skills - block, crit on next hit & hp increase 50%. enemies may have certain attacks that you can avoid fully without taking damage, some requires you to tap & clear some dark energy on the screen & another requires you to repeat a sequence within a time frame. after every battle, you get to select 1 out of 5 chests containing goodies.

once an area is cleared, it sort of becomes your territory with a population there. overtime that area collects money which you can collect when you return, the higher the population the higher the money. occassionally that area gets attacked by random monsters which you ought to kill ASAP since they'll gradually kill off your population.

i wont go too in-depth into everything but this is a pretty top notch production. haven't encountered any problems so far. the only thing that bugs me is the game being laggy at times (on my iphone 4). another note, for those of you having problems with "execution", i realised due to the lag, you can't slash too fast, in fact when you slash extremely fast, the game doesn't register it at all, try adjusting your slashing speed & you should be able to pull it off. some of the tougher enemies just require a better strategy, try filling up your mana & fury before you enter into a new fight or a boss fight, the random monsters that attack your territories can see to that. oh & i haven't spent a single cent on any IAP yet, so yeah it's playable

Cheers,
Myst

I'm really enjoying this game so far. I'm comin up against the IAP wall now but then my previous territories are warning me gold coin gradually. I think this is a good way of making you wait but not needing to pay real money.

You can also create another character an use them for a while and then switch between to earn gold while still playing.

I'm curious about what the friend feature actually does. Anyone want to add me my ID is lildarien

Amazing game.
It got me hooked!

I'm 50% into the game and the thing I hate the most is when you need to do the execution... and the lag FAILS to load your movements. DAMN. I'll have the double of items if it worked better.

Hope they fix this ASAP.

If someone wants to add me my ID TAG is Señor Abrazos

I am now 44% into the game, no IAP made so far. Fighting random monsters is one way to gather mana and fury as Myst said(but you will have to wait for them to appear). Also, try saving money to buy potions and poisons instead of spending them on equipments. Then you shouldn't have much problem on the bosses.

I also notice the issue with execution, took me some time to figure it out ==

This game is playable and quite enjoyable. But it requires time and patience.

Default Tips

at about 90% in so far, just the area before Sovering, though i'll share some things i found out. the coins from the territories really help out, though some patience is needed, but it also means that u don't need to spend IAP unless u cant wait.

KEEP ALL THE SCARABS! if u dont plan to buy any through IAP, only search for treasure in the secret maps, especially the Lake Salamander & the Matriach, the chests there contain mostly epic level items & seriously boosts ur stats, i got a Mage's Mirror that gives +4 mana clots and a ring +110 to magic, ur mana fills up every 3-4 turns & ur magic smashes the sh*t out of the enemies. u have to defeat a dark elf everytime u try to unlock these chests so be ready since she has immunity to all magic, get ur fury full for reinforcement & about 3-4 pots. if u'r having trouble with the pairing to unlock those chests (which is seriously ridiculous, who can memorise so many pairs in 5 secs?), SCREENSHOT! ta-dah!

execution as mentioned before is affected by lag, so try to adjust ur slashing speed, execution is necessary to stock up on skulls & crystals, i've got about 50+ crystals so far from the loot chests, so keep trying, that small amount of crystals can buy 2 scarabs or 50 skulls, which means levelling ur magic or getting more epic items from buried chests.

poison becomes useless later when enemies have over 1000 HP, so i'll advice saving up for gear (esp +HP) & pots instead, remember that reinforcement gives +50% HP, so every drop of HP helps.

combo can be gained even if the enemy dodges or blocks, sometimes its really worth the dodge to get the combo hit especially for the Ankh of Resurrection to get execution, this is good for bosses since their loots are much better, so opening just 1 more loot chest may mean an epic item.

the capital area (the one that looks like a city) gives the most coins, so always clear any random monsters away from that area first to keep the population up.

hope that helps! =)

Cheers,
Myst
