Are you going to be able to get all the option 2 icons to fit on the iPhone screen? Having a look at the game it already seems crowded with only two buttons down the side. Obviously shouldnt be an issue for iPad but I assume as it is a universal app the solution has to work on both devices.

I agree with Drakeer that seeing more of the battlefield is important (ie option 2) but please speed up access to the sub menus.

They are smaller but they will fit on iPhone. Yes it is a universal app.

I'm going for option 2. It seems a little less cluttered.

option 2, clear vision first if the menu access is quicker than before.

Option 2. The less cluttered the main playing screen looks, the better i think.

Ok that's pretty much unanimous then - Option 2 is the favourite!

I haven't bought the game yet---waiting for the redesign---but option 1 seems too cluttered. The key to option 2 is that when you select the single build button, the options should appear quickly and be clear. That's better than having them open all the time.

I'll vote for option 2 as well.

Could we have a little more thickness to the color borders? (Did I ask this before?) I'm thinking a pixel or two would help me better differentiate players. (I'm on an iPhone4)

Default Oh, am I late already?

I prefer option 1 since I think it more intuitive. And you can know at a glance that which option you can afford to now at the same time.

It looks a little crowded but feels more consistent for touch UI. I don't like the current way of holding an icon every time to view purchase options.

How about tapping an icon once to choose unit/building last purchased and holding an icon to pop up purchase options for that category?
