It's definitely possible if you take your time like me. One thing that probably makes a big difference is I choose not to fast travel. I also collect lots of ingredients, hunt some animals for their hides, chop wood, etc. Whenever I explore a cave, mine, hideout, fort etc, I search every nook and cranny for valuable items. I spend quite a long time organising my houses, sorting every type of item into different containers, dressing up the mannequins and organising the book shelves (sad, I know
I'm always trying to get the main quest finished, but I get too easily distracted along the way. It's just not a game that I can rush through to complete.
If I did rush through the game, I feel it would be an injustice. Video games have feelings too, you know. I need sleep...
