Lol... no, it's NOT universal
It has no support for iPad, it runs in 2X mode - that's not a definition of universal.

... it also doesn't have any retina support (any device).

Doesn't know what universal means and releases game without retina lol. What did he do at halfbrick?

Well that's a lost sale for me! I have an iPad 3, I just upgraded recently and I refuse to play, even on my iPad 1, in 2x zoom. A shame really, because this and one other game were the only ones I was interested in purchasing tonight. Looked great too! I'll put it on my watchlist and hope for a universal update!

Didnt really go about in any tactful way, but I was thinking pretty much exactly the same thing while reading this thread...

Guess I'll either hold out for Universal (or at least retina...) or just skip on it... Was really excited about this one too...

Takoushi isn't a dev. I don't see his position listed on MobyGames, but he's been in the industry since forever, and I'm guessing is a designer/producer at this point.

Based on what I'm hearing, I'm hoping universal support wasn't in the requirements doc he set up. Otherwise some QA heads will roll.
