Heroes are your one most powerful guy on every level, you get a weak one to start with and upgrade from there.
Just out of curiousity how far into the game was it before you unlocked Burbling? I'm not a great RTS player and this is more casual than most, but the difficulty does ramp up pretty quickly (playing Strategy mode as Casual seemed too easy). My problem is that the maps get larger and more difficult to split apart your pack of zombies without a lot of pinching and trying to move around the map.

Not far. About map 3 or 4 on both casual and advanced as brainbucks add up from both modes (if you spend them, the thing you buy is available on both modes too). Warning! It is veeeeeeery easy with Burbling. But also veeeeeeery fun!

Add me as one who really likes this game. I'm also not a big RTS fan, but do like strategy games in general. This is fairly simple, but yeah it does get hard fast. I could never get myself to spend for 'cheats' so maybe these new characters are the answer. I wish I didn't delete this off my phone but I probably need the practice.

One other thing to note is you don't have to go all the way to the strongest hero you can get some of the more middle ground guys i.e.

Brad (Trainer - Gain RAGE Faster)
Gordon (Chef - Longer Rage Duration)
Betty (Nurse - Traps escaping humans)

are all very helpful without making the game too easy :P

We rebalanced a lot of the game difficulty so you should find it a lot more fun now with the new update. P.S. Don't forget to rate us

Been playing this most of the evening and it's really a lot of fun. There are parts that remind me of Galcon but on some strange blood infested trip. Highly recommended to anyone that enjoys that type of strategy game but yet wants to nibble on human flesh too.

I don't usually play/like RTS games. But I had been wanting to try this game out for quite some time and now, thanks to RodGreen and skeletonlord I managed to get my hands on it. Man is it fun! It has very cute visuals, detailed landscapes, very simple controls and challenging gameplay (definitely noticeable in the the Strategy portion). Hilarious dialogue is abundant! Just one glance at that Hot Dog zombie hero makes me want to get all the stars to unlock that bad boy!

Definitely worth playing this game with a fresh approach to the zombie genre! And this is coming from a guy who had doubts whether an RTS game was his cup of tea. Now I'm hooked.

A high quality gem coming from a two man dev team!

We'll never add adverts to the game. We have IAP but it's not something that is designed to be part of the the core gameplay just an option if you want to skip through the progression.

Yeah, was playing again today. You really do have a lot of levels, that is cool, it is cool that you have icloud saves too so I can have the option to delete/load to save on disk space.

I played the game on fast mode in the options, I think I like it better cause it plays more like an arcade game.

Kind of going back and forth whether I like the casual one group mode or strategy mode with multigroups. But usually when I play the multigroup mode, end up just playing with one group, also landscape scrolling is much easier with the casual mode, so maybe I like the casual mode better.

You mentioned before that you were originally going to make this on the pc. Did you ever make a pc version? Seems like a mouse with keyboard would also work with this game especially in the multigroup mode.

Also, do you have or are you planning on having an Android version?

Cool game, next project you have, make us a game like Starcraft! Haha

We were planning to do a PC/MAC version however things might have changed on that front in the last week or so. Not trying to be needlessly cryptic just not really sure if we are or not.

We've worked on this on and off over the course of the project. I have actually got a build working on Android. We just shelved it because we thought it was more important to get the update out rather than switch platforms.

We're actually looking at it more this week so we should have an idea in the next few days if Android is going to be a reality or not.

Hah! Don't laugh! We've discussed using the existing tech to make a more Sci-Fi game.

I'm curious if we made it much more hardcore would people prefer that? I.e. blood, not cartoon style graphics etc. Something more like SpaceHulk..
