You can always get a 10 dollar gift card.

In fact, I may just wait it out even if infinity blade 2 is back and get the card instead. Sad that you can't get it twice. Hopefully they'll change that, or add multiple 10 dollar gift cards for others. As in 10$ gift card a and 10$ gift card b.

You end up paying an extra 2 dollars in credits with the gift card

So you can redeem 10 dollars worth of games

or get a 10 dollar gift card for 12 dollars worth of credits

Besides the faulty text app that randomly appears and disappears there has been only one new sponsored app in the last week or so

Hmm, NBA JAM has been added as a reward. 540 credits for a $0.99 app though? Starting to look like gift cards are the way to go...

Hmm very practical values too! Tempting...

Edit: Pulled the trigger. I guess the potential trade off is that you may not be getting the most $/points, but if "NBA JAM for 540" is gonna be the standard...
