I have been engrossed with this game for the past 24 hours. I mean ENGROSSED. I am loving it. From the spot on controls (both schemes) to the great game play to the different modes it just hits it all.
I never gave the free version a proper look and I think cuz it was freemium. I am disappointed in myself but totally happy for this version to come out. Unlocking items is easy enough with the money drops by monsters and the power ups come fast and furious. LOTS of stuff to unlock and lots of different characters surprise you. I can't recommend this enough - if you enjoy at any level a dual stick shooter then go grab this game! Seriously - go get it. |

I didnt like the money earned-refill weapons ammo ratio in the freemium version, had to grind just to keep using my guns if I remember correctly so is this addressed here?
I like grinding but when everything seems reasonable..i do remember the free version having great animations and general quality so im hoping this is a real paid version. |

OM!G this game/dev just bumped their rep up in my books. Here's the list of things they changed from the free version:
NO AMMO!!! All guns have unlimited reloads! Not sure how reload time varies but the most expensive minigun with 300 rounds reloads at the same speed as the 1k shocker with 100 rounds .Good pace of money income. I earned ~90 bucks per survival game with an un-upgraded shocker (which is the 2nd purchasable gun, pretty weak). ~500 with the un-upgraded minigun. The minigun cost 5k. Game gives you 500 free bucks per 8 hours. Quote:
.Don't feel like over-endorsing this game but it's reaaaally good now with the paid version. |

Seems like there's a lot of good impressions on this one; I'll have to give the freemium version a whirl first to see if the gameplay is for me.

Just sayin', a fully upgraded minigun is one hella a beat! The extra smooth visuals and bullet trails help add a visceral touch to the power of the gun.
Extra blood perk with this gun is almost mandatory in this mode. You'll be painting the floors red with little effort .However, there is one drawback - I have no incentive to purchase any other weapon for practical reasons. Not really a complaint, and more like a whine. I can't blame the game for giving me the most powerful weapon within 1 hour of play .

The balance in this game is way way better than the freemium version, I hope they do well with this polished DSS so they add more content.
I even bought the x2 coin multiplier to show some support, its a total overkill because you win very nice amounts of money and Ill problaby end up unlocking everything too fast but I remember playing the free version of this and seeing tons of potential hampered by the business model and I respect a dev who gives me the choice of a really premiun version. |

I'm not convinced. Looks to me a lot like a company releases a freemium game, it fails to generate the income they hoped for, so they release a "slightly less freemium" version and charge for it up front. Had this been a truly IAP-free version, you could say, well, maybe they learnt their lesson. As is though, it just smacks of someone clutching at straws to recoup costs.
