Well it is more power efficient, about 2 hours better battery on the iPad 2.
But it's architecture is very different. The specs are essentially the same, as in clock speed but it's about half the size and built at the new Samsung factory where they manufacture the chip PoP (package on package) with the ram so it's efficiency is greatly increased. I kinda wish I had one of them more than an a5x so I'm hoping, virtually sure, the a6 will be based on it. It's a 32nm chip as well whereas the a5 is 45nm which makes a big difference in the real world if we want thinner devices. Last edited by Rip73; 05-14-2012 at 08:03 PM.. |

What could've been awesome setpieces, and the beautiful environments the game had were marred by shitty, shitty AI.

Play those. If you've got a console, buy Warrior Within instead of playing a crummy port, and actually buy StarCraft (1 or 2) instead of the sloppy StarFront. Nobody plays StarFront online anymore, anyways.

No, you can always find a match online. Never had problems with that. And the pop port isn't crummy at all, esp on iPad.

Nova 3 AI is much better than mc3's, which isn't saying much...

Start of N.O.V.A. 3 is a short on-rails segment. Way to sell me on your game, Gameloft. I sure do love not having to aim at all! |

Hi all,
After having played a few days (50games for 1000 frags), here are my thoughts on Nova 3 multiplayer, with a focus on comparing it with MC3. In both games, I consider myself as a honest player (frag/death ratio = 2- 2.5) The good : Very fast pace, frantic action on the small maps. Problem is that he big maps are too big in my opinion : you spend your time running instead of fighting. Finding games is also a lot easier for me than in MC 3 and I have a lot less connection issues. The bad : Auto-aiming: it’s a huge pain as it makes it very difficult to anticipate your opponent moves. Because of that you can spend 30 seconds firing at your opponent without hitting him : it makes some fights totally ridiculous. What makes it more painful is that, it’s activated by default when you create a map (even if you changed it in your previous map) -> that makes 95% of the games with auto-aim on. The atmosphere: I don’t know why but I find the game atmosphere to be much better in MC3. Maybe because in NOVA there is no background music, maybe because all guys look the same and have the same equipment (generic feel), maybe because there is no sense of danger: it’s too hard to be killed (see auto-aim), especially since you can sprint and flee when you want. In MC3, you make one mistake, you’re dead : it’s not the case in NOVA. This also reduce my involvement in the game : I don’t care if I play well or not, while I’m always happy to get a bomber in MC3. The equipment: The starter weapons are terrible while the rocket launcher and/or jetpack are overpowered : all that gives a too big advantage to higher level players (including me): a lvl 1 with assault rifle has 0% chance to kill a jetpack/rocket launcher user, even if he has good skills. Even if this exist also in MC 3, it is not in the same proportion (you can kill anybody in 2 seconds with a bravel) and the important level thresholds (advanced armor, OPS55 come at level 25 which is very early). All in all, I find MC3 multiplayer to be much better than nova 3, although the nova 3 . There is room for improvement however, especially by removing the auto aim and re-balancing the weapons |

Did play the first level about 3 parts through and love the music plus cinematics. Tried multiplayer a bit and must say that is quite fun too! Loved Instagib back in the days of UT99 and so glad this game has this mode too! Also your Australian Noob Hunter videos are HILARIOUS! Freaking love Australia as it feels like my second -neigh, my first- home and really miss it (visited in 2009 for a month.) Your N.O.V.A video was a bit lenghty I must say and could have used a little more variation, but I totally cracked my belly on one of your Battlefield 3 videos with the full Australian accent! LOL!
