v1.4 going live right now... All tournaments should be saving/loading correctly.

Enjoy!

Also found the (very) occasional Throw-in crash bug last night, so will be doing one last update before a break to finish something else.

The next update after that will have weather, Euro Club competition and possibly Italian League, but will also see it switch from a free game to a paid title, so make the most of the final weeks of it being free...

does that mean we have to pay for a new app even if we spent money in this one?

No, anyone already with it who has unlocked it, will get all new content for free when the change happens. The base download will change to be paid for new players and will be just like an unlocked version now.

There will also be a premium SKU probably at Tier2 price, which will have all the content unlocked with no coin system or IAPs. This version will generally get updates first going forward. The original will still get the content, but it will take longer to factor in a coin value, or IAP if it's a larger feature, like the SWOS multi-season mode.

No problem! It won't be for a couple of weeks yet, but worth saying, so if anyone wants to try the game for free then the window on that is closing.

the ability to import a whole team (maybe by 3 letter code?), custom or not, into a league or tournament would be nice.

Yesterday I played with a friend for the first time a 2 player match using the same iPad. As a whole, it was a lot of fun but the control placement was very odd - why can't the virtual stick be on one side while the buttons on the other as when you play a single player match? Or allow the freedom to position the virtual controllers. It was fun, but after 3 games our hands were quite cramped that we had to stop.

Yep, that's been requested before and is planned.

Yep, I know it's not ideal, but there's a reason for the way it is.. Playing end to end, the player who is looking at things from the "wrong" perspective is quite disadvantaged.

It's designed so you both still face mostly the right way to view the screen, and are kind of side by side but holding a corner.. I should really have prepared a couple of images to present the way the players should hold the device to work best.
We can try some alternate schemes though. I wasn't sure if many would even try it, it's more of a novelty feature. Will give it some experimentation time in the next update cycle. Thanks for trying it though, you're probably the first!
