Defender Chronicles (published by Chillingo)

Funny how this game has had 5 different threads but no official thread so I'm making it now. Also Chillingo (surprise surprise) has announced they are publishing.

Defender Chronicles first got noticed last month but all has been quiet on the title since then. Chillingo have now confirmed with AppGamer that they will publishing the title. While there is no new information just yet we have a hands on preview for E3 and a developer interview lined up so be sure to check back in 13 days and 4 hours (click here for an updated ETA).

What we know so far is that the game is a blend of role playing adventure and tower defence built specificaly for the iPhone. It will feature...

5 levels with hand-drawn backgrounds
5 game modes; campaign, classic, classic endless, extended, extended endless
Command over 6 different warrior classes; warrior, archer, berserker, ranger, halfling and mage. Each will have it's own voice over and abilities.
A variety of boss characters
An original soundtrack and auto-save function
Check out the gameplay video already released below to get a better idea of what the game is about...

I don't understand why devs want Chillingo to publish their games...Chillingo has over 100 apps published, and the majority of them are shit.

But... that's a fault of the devs (particularly those back in 2008). Devs don't care about that, what they care of is that Chillingo has been recognized due to the fact that they have at published at least 10 original IPs and have established a reputation that way.

So if you're dev "Gamecity" no one will give a damn but people recognize Chillingo and flock to your game cause of it. Plus Chillingo actually help devs get a buzz which helps sales, unless of course you want to go the route of iDroids and decide to release with no hype whatsoever.
