How the japan game has so many space-eaters?

KOF i 2012 1.1GB
SF volt nearly 900MB
Chaos Rings II is 946MB

on the other hand,
Death Rally is less than 200 MB
Swordigo is only 116 MB
Inotia 4 is less than 60MB

It's all about the compression, behind the scenes. But he big names you've mentioned don't need to worry about file size, 95% of the people that would buy them would buy them regardless of the size.

For the other games that people may cherry-pick, size plays a much bigger role.

Btw, Inotia is made by a Korean company.



If you're looking for amazing sizing, Crimsonheart (in the same vein as Inotia - mind you, I haven't played Inotia 4 though) is only 11MB and that's probably one of the best of the genre on the App Store.
