Try to get in to a drift/slide just before the sharp corners. The key would be to try and drift/slide IN to the corner so you are at full tilt during it.

Hmmm.. this only happened a couple of times during our testing, we shall look in to this and hopefully have a fix soon, when it happened during testing we had to restart the race a couple of times for it to kick in.

We are also working on a couple of new tracks (neon city, funland theme park) which will be added free of charge once they are finished.

What about touch control in an update? No touch control, no buy! Not everyone can handle around an Ipad for hours.

Please, LockStockGames, take Asphalt 6 (or Real Racing 2 or maybe even Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing) and a buddy with an iOS device and try out local multiplayer (via bluetooth or WiFi). For some friends and me it's a complete new (okay since more than two years or so) and most exciting racing feeling—pure and exclusive iOS power. Better than console racing stuff!!!

Wow, I think you need bit more practice! :P, tilt the device more and you will get a power slide, with the easy car you pretty much NEVER need to use the brake to get round a corner if you power slide, apart from one damn hard corner on the metro track.
