Hopefully this one won't lag on the iPad 1, like episode 1 hd does. I was playing it yesterday and it kinda ruins the point of the game, as it's impossible to feel the sense of speed through lag and unresponsive controls. Also, has anyone unlocked episode metal yet? I'm wondering if it's gonna force me to keep both episodes of sonic on my iPad in order to access it.

Looks like it isn't just me who thinks this release week sucks. The most popular release thread has 10 posts. This looks like the only good release to me tonight, but I haven't finished Eps. 1 or Sonic CD yet. Will pass until then. Eps. 2 should be great though.

Positive: This time Universal and not separate iPhone/iPod touch + iPad versions. Negative: File size and price.
Call me nickel nurser (not really—spending $700-1,000/year on apps) but I guess STH4E2 will go down to $1.99 or $2.99 (sale for a limited time) within one month or two, maximum three (and maybe we'll even have an update then). Although, Sega's price changes are hard to predict because they have no fixed pattern and seem still making experiments. Sometimes a launch sale, sometimes a sale later on… So don't grill me please when it shouldn't be the case. (Or when the price actually goes up. But that's not very likely for that game. Afair they announce it officially when there is a launch sale.) Can await it. :-) Need 128 or 256 GB iPad for all the nursed nickels. Last edited by Habakuk; 05-16-2012 at 04:28 PM.. |

^ According to dev: "Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Requires iOS 4.0 or later."

Sorta hard to believe it would work on a 2nd gen though; those graphics look pretty intense for my low end device.
If anyone has a 2nd gen and is getting it, mind testing it out for me? :3 |

Not planning on getting this one just yet, but Sonic 4: Episode One runs surprisingly well on my 2nd Gen -- with all that Sonic speed and pretty darn good graphics as well. So I wouldn't be surprised at all if this one works as well, particularly if they used the same engine to create it.
