Why there is still another App started for the Blitz Mode? I don't want to have two Apps for one game on my iPad ... this is a shame!

iPad Pro | iPad Air 2 | iPhone 6s Plus

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Still no Lightning, Icestorm, Poker or Quest modes. Perhaps we'll get it later, like 'Butterfly' mode via update or IAP. But until then, I'll stick with the Retina iPhone version, after all, it's just Bejeweled and not Galaxy on Fire.

Now playing: Mekorama, Space Grunts, Patchwork, Knightmare Tower, Smash Hit, Open Bar!
Waiting for: Nyheim, Onirim

So disappointed with this release. It's like they don't want to give us bejeweled 3. Why even waste resources on this and not just do the full game?

Quite a half-baked release at the moment. But, to answer your question, if I were to make an educated guess, I'd say it is EA and not Popcap with whom you're dealing here... They just released the xbox and NDS versions, so they try to protect their investments while checking out at the same time, if the interest in a seperate iPad version is big enough to cover the expenses for additional programming work with handing out a kind of "Bejeweled 3 lite" That's why I love small indie devs.

Because Blitz is freemium and they can make more money that way

If this was free most of the negative comments would still apply because of the IAP the iPhone version should just become universal. Then again EA as become evil incarnate as far as games are concerned.
