Default N64 emulator?

I know the ipad has a n64 emulator but its complete garbage. I've seen n64oid on android devices and it looks amazing. Even nook tablets run it. Why isn't someone working on one for the ios? The emulator we have currently is pretty much unplayable.

Yep, i totally agree with you man. The one available right now is shit.

Seeing as the current ios devices are getting more powerful, shouldn't be too diffucult for an n64oid port?

I could see the iPad running an n64 emu but with as many buttons as it has, theyd take up too much screen real estate. Still, I would love to play Castlevania 64 on my iPhone.

Maybe someone doesn't reckon it's worth their time to spend coding an emulator just to have it pirated the shit out of.

that applies to most apps aswell.

If you ask me I think he lost his determination to continue updating his apps regularly when google suspended his google devolopers account last year for the andriod platform losing him lots of potential revenue from andriod apps, also if you read his twitter its obvious he puts more effort into other things rather than update his apps, shame really as its an easy fix to at least update the control scheme so it emulates the directional stick rather than using the accelerometer.

All Rakashazi's emu's are great. He recently said he'd be trying next either GBA, N64 or PSX, and we now have the excellent GBA.emu! He works quickly, and regularly updates, so I'm hoping N64 And PSX are still on his list!

zodttd was supposed to be releasing an update about 1 month ago. But seeing as how he doesn't always stick to his word, we cant guarantee it will be released anytime soon.

I'm glad zodttd is working on it but holy crap his updates are at best slightly more frequent than gameloft, and that means either never or like once.

The vast majority of emulators, at least when they are found outside of an app store, are and have always been free and open source. Most have been coded by the type of ppl that just want to prove it was possible and that they could do it. I remember there being one psx emulator that was packaged and sold on store shelves, but was pulled from retail after Sony sued or something along those lines.
