quite honestly, I think we need to spend a solid 2 or 3 months at least on the runs. in order to do our original plan of 4 chambers and the apocalypse, we would have to do an update each month from here til november (this is when the last update needs to be submitted to apple).

right now, I am thinking about two chambers and then the apocalypse. if we reduce it to 3 chambers, then we are gaining 1 month to work on the runs but I dont think that will be enough to finish it at the level I would like.

Mega Run just came out and it looks great. I at least want to runs to be as good as that if not better. I remember at wwdc last year, I told their lead artist that we were working on the runs and he showed me early designs for mega run. it's interesting that we were thinking along similar lines. I would say Mega Run is the runner equivalent to Mario where The Runs will be Sonic. They have a a little bit slower action and focus on these really amazing power ups, where we will be all about speed and variety of obstacles and locations.

Well if you choose to do only two more chambers then I guess that's fine. As I thought about it, you do need to do the apocalypse in 2012. I just can't wait for the Runs!! I hope it works on 2nd gens unlike Mega Run...

If you want my opinion, I would push the release date for The Runs back by five years, give the community absolutley no word on when Runs comes out and do all of the 4 chambers. (Does that not count the rooms we've already seen?) Just like what Valve is doing with Half Life 3.

But seriously, just make these chambers smallish in content (with enough replay value) like in the older updates, or hire an extra dev to do The Runs.

On another note, any hint at what the next update may entail? Even a single keyword?

We tried to make these small in content. We dont have that ability. once we start working on it, then we get carried away with ourselves. and we are trying to hire people, but allan and I have to be at the core of the new project.

Well, like I've said before, don't make a lot of Chambers only because you have to do them. But, even if I'm really excited for The Runs, I would like to see the Apocalypse saga well accomplished. Because, I think that if you will be able to make it well, it would be GREAT! Also, I'm happy to see that you guys start doing your projects, thinking it will take only some months, and ending up taking almost a year! This mean that you put all of your efforts in your works! Congratulations!!!

Yeah, the update's awesome. Still can't believe they did the Kony Dance. I should have seen it coming, though, on account of all of the F'd up shit they put in some of the newer updates. It's a kids game!

Honestly, I really don't care when the runs comes out. As long as it comes out, I could care less when it comes out. And now I understand why you said the update was cute. Me and my family love this game, and I honestly thought the name was hilarious. Keep up the good work!
