App description: Guide a fighter, a wizard, or a thief deep into a hostile dungeon to wrest the town of Hallemot from the clutches of the tyrannical minotaur Asterion. Engaging, thought-provoking gameplay that's different every time, but fast enough to take in bite-sized chunks.

Tap or hold to move; move into enemies to engage them in melee, or tap spells to cast them. Tap your character's portrait to view your current stats, and even though character death is permanent, it's also half the fun!

This is a port of an indie game released last year for the PC. It's basically an accessible, fast-paced rogue-like, with nicely-polished pixel graphics and seriously addictive gameplay. The video pretty much says it all, but here's a very nice review of the PC version.

Yay! There it is! How unexpected

I quickly need a new iTunes gift card to buy this.

Hi, you seemed to be lost on the Internets.
This is TouchArcade, where 2$ for a game is too much, 5$ is an outrage, and 10$ or more is putting sugar in their car tanks whilst killing puppies.

It's as polished as Fargoal, with nice (but subtle) sprite animation and excellent touch controls. There's even a soundtrack and neat sound effects. The dungeon design is simpler, though (no secret passages, etc) It's more fast paced than 100 Rogues, and it doesn't have a hunger system.

Definitely worth the price, from what I've seen so far.

Cool! I shall get this later today. I sorta given up waiting for Fargoal 2 and this looks like it could be a good replacement.

It is a good game. As squarezero said, well worth it.

I'm curious to hear what people think. I'm really enjoying it, but I'm not very knowledgeable about rogue-likes.

Bought this earlier. Love the art and the overal theme.

However, no stats.

Buttons (start) ect. Seem to require just the right touch to activate.

Only one control option. Touch works well but a swipe option would be nice as I grew tired of tapping four different areas of the screen.

Yeah, the no-stat thing (meaning that when you die there's no final report -- your character has standard stats in the game) was mentioned in the reviews of the PC version. I think the idea is to make the game more about the experience and less about keeping track of progress. I can see how rogue fans may have a problem with that.

Buttons work fine for me. Swipe controls would be a nice addition, but personally I prefer tap controls.

EDIT: One cool feature is that equipment does show on your character -- a rare thing for rogue-likes.
