So I'm part of the toucharcade group, did a ton of the Brisbane jobs and never got my Warhawk.

Higher weight essentially makes each takeoff more expensive. This can be reduced a bit with upgrading, but the later planes are so heavy that even with all of the upgrades (which are insanely expensive on later planes) and increased capacity it is hard to make significantly more profit than a fully upgraded Birchcraft fleet. I can't say for sure, but I currently feel that it will not really be worth ditching Birchcraft until the very last/best planes become available.

Are you guys waiting until your planes are full before you fly to the next destination? I'm keeping all of my planes in the air even if they are say 1/3C.
Is it better to wait until they are full? |

If you hanger a plane with upgrades...does it keep its upgrades when you put it back in service?

I think it depends on how you play. A lot of people focus hard on the bonuses. Personnally - if there's less than a minute to a new jobs load...I'll wait. And, instead of partially full, at the least I'll try to strategically move passengers/cargo around in the empty spots (i.e. I'm flying from DC to LA...I might as well fill the empty spot with a San Fran passenger to get them closer to their destination and they can layover in LA - the benefit is they keep their payout so you'll get a $400 fee instead of a $150 fee when you do finally fly them from LA to San Fran.) But I do fly partially full planes if I have to - as long as I am not losing money on the flight.

1/3 full makes you 1/3 the profits -25%. It still costs you the same amount to fly to the destination. BUT every refresh you wait, that's t seconds your plane is making 0 income. Lets label income from delivering a Cost of flight: c flight time: f Time until job refresh: t If (a/3-c)/f is greater than (1.25a-c)/f+t then it's better to go now. If not then wait. You can't predict t because you may not get a full plane next refresh, but you can figure out t for the next refresh and if it's better than leave now. TLDR: It depends. If you don't like math then just send the plane |

Been a long-time reader of this specific thread, finally thought I would contribute.
I'm currently level 13, nearly 14. Started in Europe and have been doing focusing on this global event, not expanding like crazy yet, putting off until I can expand both east and west ![]() Game center: OSS1E P.S: My caption for the picture is 'Am I doing this right?' |
