Ppocketplanes is a bit like crack, except it msgs you when your plane has landed
I hate how addictive this game was, had to delete it, the constant notifications didn't help either. Couldn't help but go back in and load/send planes around. I guess I just have a habit of getting engrossed in games like this, but on the surface it's fairly repetitive and you can't actually loose, although there is skill envolved in how much money you make and the speed of your expansion. Anyone have any strategies for how to effectively manage playing this game without totally having it take hours of your life? |

And turn off all notifications in notification ctr; maybe move PP app to second or third page of apps? |

So yah should have expanded my network to longer flight times and thrown my phone into a vault with timer on it, lol anyway it's off my phone and I have to get back to work on finishing my first iOS game 'Buzz Attack'! |

To be honest I enjoyed this game so, so much more when my network was a small web based one in Europe. It just seemed more fun and personal. There were more options for cities etc. Now everyone above level 16 or 17 probably have the same few airports seeing as how that's the only way to make money with long distance flights and the limited amount of airports you can have before the job pool becomes too over saturated.

Hey TimbleTim, are there gunna be multiple opportunities to earn all of the rare planes? If I missed an event for some reason, will the plane eventually be recycled as a flight crew prize? Thanks.

Okay so, a few pages back I was toying with the idea of creating a website to gather all the hints, tips, crews and all other things Pocket Planes related into one place. I've now decided to do it but I need some ideas for what you would all like to see on the website.
For now, it won't be community driven, ie. there will be no Facebook integration or logins as I want to get it up and running ASAP, and we already have a forum right here. It will be more of a resource for all the hints, tips, strategies / methods of play, personal opinions on the aircrafts, game centre ID list, crew list, archive of winners of world events etc. Now what else could be included / would we all like to see? |

I dunno, as long as you link all the tools people have already put up into one attractive webspace, anything else is gravy, really. |

Took me a few days but I've finally caught up with the last 60 pages of posts here and found your post detailing your Sequoia Plan. Do you think I can execute your Sequoia Plan using Aeroeagles in place of Sequoias? I took a break after the San Diego flight crew event cuz I was burned out and bored with the game. I racked up over 3500 jobs to San Diego (ranked #4 after Pocketplanegod ), it was just too easy to sit on that because of the 2 minute turnaround time between Los Angeles and San Diego. After a break from the game (started playing Dragonvale for a change of pace) I'm now trying to find a way to keep Pocket Planes interesting. I'm level 33 and am at point where I'm not out to maximize profit. I have 2 million coins and 9000 Bux. I'm doing OK as long as I'm not expanding too many new plane slots. I've revamped my main route MANY times, usually flip flopping between NA-to-EA and SA-to-EA, with slight game plan variations and of course reopening/reclosing airports to keep the total number of airports low. What I need is a sweet spot between overly-micromanaging and sheer-boredom (waiting to do something again). I don't have any Sequoias at all (totally skipped them while leveling up). I'm wondering whether I can use Aeroeagles instead of Sequoias. I have tons of Aeroeagles cuz they are my layover/feeders and bux runners. Also using a few Cyclones as my long distance planes, I'm guessing these probably won't work too well in the Sequoia Plan?My current cities (besides flight crew): LA, Chicago, Mex ---> NY <--> London/Paris <--> Tehran <--> Shanghai <--- Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo I have no problems with moving operations or changing up the cities. The Goose Bay flight crew is slow going, I'm not working very hard at it cuz it takes such a long time for my Kangaroo/SeaKnight to get there. I've only managed to deliver around 130, which is nothing compared to 3500+ for San Diego. I might be more motivated if there was a blimp or hot air balloon reward. Still holding off on doing Nome-to-Wellington until I get one of those. |
