App description: Woolyball is a fresh take on a classic "match five" series of games. Featuring two incredible visual styles, two different game modes, and one addictive gameplay, it'll keep you busy for days on end, and vastly improve your pattern-recognition skills to boot.

The game starts in an incredible cutesy Furry mode, where each piece on a board is a charming little furball full of life that blinks, jumps, and watches you and other balls nearby. They even make furball-like sounds when you move them. For those who want something a bit more neutral, there's a polished metal mode, where each piece becomes a brushed metal ball.

The main idea is to match five or more balls of the same color in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line by moving one ball every turn. For every ball moved, three new ones appear on the board, except for the turns where you clear a line or more. The game ends when the entire board becomes full. This seemingly simple idea is surprisingly addictive, testing both speed and pattern recognition, and provides literally days of fun (it did for us! :).

Woolyball comes with two game modes - a Classic where there's just you, pieces, and the board, and nothing else to get in your way; and a more whimsical Enhanced mode, which adds color changers, portals, and stone obstacles for you to take into account. For those who have aced both modes, there's also three difficulty settings for each.

O was looking for a game like this for my sister.

I liked the furry skin but the "each move sound" is very annoying.

I've noticed that none of the themes are colorblind aware.

Anyway, I'll buy it later for her but please make some improvements regarding sound and graphics. For sound a shorter sound, mainly for feedback, is way better for this kind of game that has a lot of repetition. For the graphics an option or theme for colorblind (e.g. furry with different moods).

Hello,

Authors here. Thank you for the feedback. We can definitely add a theme for the colorblind in an update. As to sound, we kind of anticipated that a bit - if you hit the Options button from within the game, and you can either mute the motion sound only, or switch to the polished metal theme, which makes a more subtle sound. We'll see if we can add a third way.

Thanks again, and if anything else comes up, please let us know.

Bought it:

- the furry sound is less annoying than it sounded in the video, probably because it is a very good sample

- I was expecting the following control method: tap a furry, possible squares would be highlighted, then another tap to move it (tap elsewhere or on the same furry to reset the move). However, the current control works fine.

- The new iPad retina display support is very, very polished

- it is too subtle the difficulty mode selection; at first, I couldn't tell what was selected and I'm not that blind!

- I can play the game and I'm sure my sister will but a colorblind support is really necessary;

- it seems the game pace is well balanced

- overall a great lines game here! Congratulations for the release.

Thanks for the comments and for buying our title! We'll be working on the points you mentioned for the update from now on.

One more thing: I noticed that you can't exactly place the furry where you want, like most of the lines games, because the shorter path will always be used. It makes it harder when playing Enhanced mode (sometimes you want to avoid that vortice but the shorter path won't allow you). That's OK.
