I had one opponent attack me with 8 creatures and with all the cards overlapping and a jumble of target lines it was impossible to finger out what was blocking what. I just tapped things and hoped for the best... I lost :/ |

Is anyone else not getting sound effects? Music works fine and SFX volume is maxed, but sound effects just aren't working. I've played all the previous versions so I've got a good idea of what I'm missing.

Another tip: Read the cards. With Magic guessing or assuming is a bad idea. I know most cards but i still read 'm regularly and if you're not sure what it does tap info. Double tap to zoom, enjoy the art and read. Every card that's played, even land cards can have tricks, just read it. Best advice i've ever gotten when i learned to play.

No, that is why I put 'land creature' in my post.

Whoops, misread that. I dunno then, must have been some kind of special card effect, or maybe something caused by a planeshift.

Thanks. My issue with IAP not being well communicated is that I'd expect a list of what the "full game" is when I buy it, ie- multiplayer, more campaign modes, etc. It's easy for someone to be confused that buying the full game should also unlock the decks.
Also, it wasn't clear to me that I'm limited to the built in decks. Sure these can be customized, but I expected to be able to create decks from scratch. Now, this is coming from someone who played Magic a decade ago and not since, so I'm unfamiliar with how the game has been played online since. Just a simple explanation when you start the campaign would be great: "In Magic 2013, you have access to up to 10 built in decks. Unlock the decks and extra cards to customize them by playing the campaign." Or did I miss that message. About the battlemat, I'm sure it's huge for multiplayer, but there's no reason it needs to be for campaign. I'd prefer a dynamic play space that pulls in tighter so it doesn't seem so sparse and text so small. |

Also, not sure if there is a setting I can turn off so that cards with abilities available do not always need to have that orange glowing border, I keep thinking it's a combat phase indicator, even though I just finished that step, lol. Minor annoyance is how sometimes when an opponent's card zooms in and the 'Stop timer' icon blends in where the card flavor text is if the card doesn't have much text in that area and I lose sight of the icon since it's white on white. But otherwise, after playing two games, so far, it's looking like a great adaption! Might even skip the desktop version this year... |

Is there any way to make this game go, I don't know, faster? It's really slow. I would like a responsive interface first and foremost, I don't want my taps going to the void. Graphics and card animations are nice, but the game plods along with them and they aren't interrupted by you dragging or tapping something else, you're just ignored.
Am I the only one who wants my strategy games to be responsive to input? |

OMG, it seems I am back to the iOS scene because of this game.
I was waiting for this game to come out on the Xbox 360 (in July I think), but now that I see it early for ipad, I think I will get this instead. So question, anybody know the difference with this one and the xbox one? Thanks! |
