High quality app. Never played Magic before so I'm in the learning/confused stage right now.. =P

So fat, it feels like the game is much slower than the iOS Ascension...but I guess it's cause of all the phases? That and the tool tips and me reading all the cards as they come up. Otherwise, fun so far!

Default Pumping ability problems

Anyone else experiencing problems with abilities to pump creatures? Works in the tutorial but I've had two separate instances in the campaign where I could not pump a red creature although I had the requisite mana. If I missed something, I have no clue.

In the tutorial, they actually highlighted the ability on the card. In the two duels where I had the problem, the ability line was not highlighted. There was no conceivable reason why I could not have used the ability.

Anybody have the same problem?

For all the first time MTG players. This game is the best card game you can play. Not to make the other card games sound bad, but this is top quality with a great experience. You can turn off the phase stoppage in the options to speed up the game flow. I've spent over $1,000 in cards in the past and this is by far the best way to play the game besides the actual card game itself.

This is a free game to allow those not familiar with the game a chance to evolve into a awesome player.

5/5 app here people.

P.S. I am not a troll or overselling this. I'm just a geek as my wife says

Of all the days to leave my iPad at home! I was expecting this to release tomorrow. Still, it's out that's good. Smart move lowering the barrier to entry, they did their research.

Does the IAP spoil the gameplay by unlocking decks you can unlock during the game itself? If not I'll buy it immediately, else will probably not pay the IAP at all.

Can't wait to try this... Need to find a decent hotspot in London now I've left my house for the day!

Yeah..for noobs like me, it's great to have such a full "trial" version. If the app was straight up $10...I'd really hesitate on it. It helps the game feels so polished.

On question..in the app for the deck manager, it looks like you have 60 base cards with a bunch of unlockables above it... I'm wondering if all those cards are unlockables as a part of the game or if some are IAP?

Can someone explain what it means to "foil" your cards through an in app purchase? What exactly are you doing or getting? The way it's written in the game it seems like your going to lose cards to get different ones.

Duels of the Planeswalkers got me interested in MTG again after a long time not playing. This is a truly excellent version - at least so far. Not yet tried MP, unlocking the decks/cards via campaign first.

Converts them to a shiny look - like getting a foil premium rare from a booster pack. IRL foil cards are worth more than their non foil equivalents. But gameplay wise there is no difference.
