Touch Ski 3D v2.1

Hello all!

Touch Ski 3D v2.1 is now available. The update includes:

-Greatly improved controls: smoother, more consistent ski motion
-Reduced crashing: as with any memory-intensive game, you should still fully reboot your device after installing
-Removed "Sale" text from icon: don't worry, it's still only $0.99!
-Fixed crash when downloading high scores on a slow internet connection
-Fixed bug with slalom fault penalty times

We took some time off from adding content in order to improve and stabilize the existing features. These performance improvements should greatly enhance your skiing experience, especially in the slalom courses where precision cutting and turning is required. Enjoy .

is there any way you can extend the skis in another update? That would be awesome! That way, we could tell whether or not the skis were positioned in a parallel fashion.

If the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

Thanks for the suggestion. We've gotten a couple of requests for that. The problem we see with it is that longer skis create an unrealistic perspective. To stick out more, either the skis would have to be rotated upwards/lengthened (which would create a gap between the tips of the skis and the slope) or the camera would have to be tilted downwards (which would mean you are looking down at your feet rather than down the mountain). If you want to know if your skis are parallel, keep an eye on the MPH indicator, which turns green when the skis are aligned.

We will continue experimenting with ski length, and possibly add a bit more in the next update. It's a balance between realism and function.

Thanks for the reply. I just thought that it lessened the realism by having to look up at the mph indicator constantly...

Haha that's a great point, but no matter how long we make the skis you would still need an indicator to monitor the angle with the current level of precision.
