"We are happy to announce that BADLAND will feature local multiplayer for up to four players playing in the same device!
The multiplayer is all about survival of the fittest – with no rules. It’s completely okay to push your opponent to a spinning circular saw in order to survive. The multiplayer shares the same easy to grasp controls and the gameplay mechanics as the single player, so it’s easy to pick any friend (or foe) to play against you. However, skills matter in the end. The physical gameplay makes sure that every game is different.

BADLAND will feature 12 multiplayer levels at launch, and we will keep adding more levels in updates.

During the past few weeks, we adjusted our estimate for the launch and we confirm it is this March."

Holy crap. That is literally the best local touchscreen multiplayer implementation I've ever seen. Does this mean the possibility of local multiplayer (maybe just 2 player) on iPhone/iPod? That'd be fantastic. This is really dishing out to be a full fledged console quality game.

Yes you can play this multiplayer with just one or to friends. Four is just the maximum amount.

Also, this is very much compatible with iPhone and iPod.

I have to say, we are very happy the way this multiplayer mode turned out to be. It's endless fun and very addicting. It's always this "one more round! one more round!" thing going on!

I don't just mean the game, I mean does local multiplayer work on iPhone/iPod, or is it just on the larger iPad screen?
