Grabbed this...I have yet to play grand prix story though after purchasing it on a sale. This looks somewhat more interesting!

Hmmm, still torn between this or Dungeon Village. Any preferences?

Well I haven't finished this yet, but these are pretty similar even though the theme is completely different. In both you build a town and get new citizens/adventurers. Both game has quests where you send a team to complete them. In both games' quests there are both battles and reward "chests". Difference between the quests are that in this game you can actually put an order to who you're battling against. In this game you also can explore new parts of the planet, different planets and overall I find this more strategic. But something about Dungeon Village makes it almost equal to this. I'd say go for Epic Astro instead.

I enjoyed this game, but Dungeon Village beats it in most respects. This one is pretty straightforward and has an easier curve. But the away missions don't match the satisfaction of watching the residents venture out each day to fight random encounters.

It's worth playing both, but if you must choose then get Village.

I dunno if anyone feels the same way, but getting tired of the same type of games from Kairosoft. Don't get me wrong, I love every single game by them, but just expecting some change now. Still favorite after so much time: Game Dev Story

Yeah after playing this one more, I gotta say I like Dungeon Village more. Early impressions were better with this, but meh... Dungeon Village is better.

I really wish Dungeon Village had a lite version so I could test it out a bit. I played the lite EAS and liked it, but I think I might like DV a bit more if I got my hands on it. I'm more in the mood for sci-fi than fantasy, though it seems the features in DV are broader.

I have Pocket Academy and Grand Prix Story, and let me tell ya...I just don't understand Kairosoft games!

I think I would like them, but I've got 20/400 vision (dom't laugh if you've checked my profile and know what a do to make a living) and the instructions are teeny tiny and spread out over like a bajillion pages.

I can tell ya if an AP shell fired from a 75mm AT gun will penetrate, ricochete, or bounce off of a buttoned, hull down Panzer MkIII's side left skirt armor from 4 hexes away and 15 feet above...but these Kairosoft games? I think it's rocket science!
