Oh god I hate TO. I havent lost to them yet (but havent played much coz of my current schedule), but they are most annoying. If they get out 4 smashers id smash my head on a wall. And those thwarters can make your stronger champs useless.

Thanks guys! I took the plunge and bought the full game 2 days ago. I am trying to get a feel on the different factions by playing against the AI. Hopefully I will be more familiar with the basics of the games and play with you all soon.

Especially looking forward to playing with the regular Ascension folks I always play with.

I only use vg. so if you want some consistency in opponent faction, that's me

Quick question about Gror's Hammer Quake attack: "All cards within 2 spaces are affected by the attack". So I have Gror below the enemy wall with the enemy summoner at a top diagonal touching the wall. I figure it's within 2 spaces so I Heroic Feat and attack the wall for 4 hits...nothing on Elian (would have been a kill shot too)! Sadness? Or did I misinterprete yet again and probably added another defeat to my massive pile?

Gror's Hammer Quake forms a diamond pattern with him as the center. An easier way to check if you'll hit is to see if your target is within 2 paces of movement from Gror's position.

Grrr that's what I figured, I'm just grasping at straws now! Hell I figure if I make every darn mistake in the book I'll improve eventually, right?

Just played a turn with you and just discovered that the Chant of Negation you played the previous turn also affects my units that I summon, just not the units already on the board. Which was real sadness for my Fire Drake and I think Elian gets the dirt nap when you're up

Hey Emos,
Think this was our GD vs PE game you're talking about here. I remember seeing you playing the Heroic Feat on Gror and thinking "Oh No - he's misjudging the area of impact - don't waste it, don't waste it!". I know I've lost at least a couple games due to the same misjudgement - at first I kept thinking it was just 2 orthogonal spaces in each direction, but found out the hard way that wasn't correct either. Took me a while to figure out it was the Diamond pattern Sapphire_Neo mentioned earlier - that card (and several others) are confusingly worded.

And yeah, if it would have hit, it would have been a game over!

Yeah that was yet another one of my many DOH! moments in this wonderful yet frustrating game
