GD with a 2nd or 3rd round wall kill is a pretty bad match up regardless of race

They basically had to start burning through cards in order to find a wall that never came. I even spread my units so if they got the wall they couldn't hit me hard with priests and holy judgement to escape or worse take out my hard hitting units. Sera has 6 hp so GD decks have to work hard to pin her down before she gets healed or gets reinforcements.

Sera can't be healed.

Wow total auto check misfire. That should have been before she gets Jacob or reinforcements.

With Jacob out you get a 50% chance of giving 1 wound to all enemy units in 2 spaces so he can clear house quickly. I suppose Archangel could have done the job too but only one unit at a time.

By the 5th round they had 15 magic so a single wall could have brought out 2 Champions or even Guardian Knights + Priests to hold me off while they search for a wall.

VG has some fantastic staying power. Every win I've ever had with them has been betting run over and letting the enemy exhaust their resources and then run them over once I build up a nice magic pile.

mass champs with priest/Sera behind them is generally VG strategy.

Intercession is such a meh card, it's pretty much an automatic junk for magic card.

Ya. Though if sera is untouched I use it to move 3/4 wounds from a champ to her a long distance away is sometimes a good deal. Thing is I can heal two outright with sera for 1 magic (the same as the event itself since i cant discard it for magic anymore...)

I must've been using them wrong :/ I've just been doing Priest swarms and if they failed I'd fall back with meat shields until I can afford a champion.

LOL, yeah. Grognack can 1v1 most champs and end up winning. There was one time I rushed him with Elut Bal and he ended up killing Elut when he already had 2 wound markers on him. I still won at the end coz all he had left late game were shamans, and I was cranking out the undead with Ret.

EDIT: Twas vs AI so yeah. LOL

VG strategy is to keep a low board count, have at least 2 cards in your discard pile (I generally summon an extra priest to use up that magic) and use your champs close to Sera. Grubs and Mal are great Merc champs for VG. You can also sometimes ambush an unsuspecting opponent with Holy Judgment'd Priests.
