Bitstream -> Free

I'm on my phone right now using the TA app, so I can't post an iTunes link.

I've already DL'ed it but haven't tried it yet, but I believe I've heard of it and it looks worthwhile. It's a music or rhythm based shooter with what looks like vector inspired graphics. Only 24 Mbs, so if you're into rythm games, SHMUPS, or raster graphics, you might want to check it out.

It's pretty fun but there's an iap to purchase the full version. I'm considering it, gonna give it a little more play time first. As far as I've played it's not a shooter but a racing game.

Edit - the only thing holding me back is that this isn't universal and there's no iPad version. Maybe I'll try contacting dev for info whether an iPad version or universal update is coming. Anyone know off hand?

I have no idea, but I have exactly the opposite problem...I keep buyin universal apps which should have been made ONLY for the iPad. There are some great games, most notably in the strategy, collectible card, and in-depth board game genres that are nearly impossible to play on a 3.5 inch screen. Just because the 4s has similar hardware to an iPad 2, IIRC, doesn't mean it can provide a playable experience without significant UI tweaking.

Ok, tried it long enough that I can tell I will be paying to unlock the full version as long as it isn't to expensive (I bought The Elder Signs: Omens board game a second ago).

Just from the tutorial I can tell that this fits in with my my crank it up, tune in and zone out style gameplay obsession. Give me a beat I can alter with my gameplay, flashy (doesn't need to be complicated) visuals, and a high bit rate and I'll be playing hours straight with my cans on.

For those who are considering downloading this, it is functional without paying. You get 4 races and one tournament free. I'll probably be upgrading, which gets you 16 races, 4 tournaments (just the 12 extra tracks combined into groups of 4) and a freestyle mode, which is what I.really want even though I don't know what it does.

Yeah, too bad this game isn't universal, since I never spend money on games nowadays that are just iphone only. This game has potential.

Downloaded this earlier today. Unplayable on my nonjailbroken iPhone 4 with 5.1.1. Crashes on the title screen everytime. I tried rebooting the phone but it still crashes. Judging from the reviews on iTunes, it appears to be a common problem. Hopefully there will be an update to fix the crashes soon.

Hey folks - cheers for checking out the game. The crash bug has been sorted in the latest version (I actually ended up going out and buying an iPod touch especially to test it on!). The Apple review team were very kind and expedited the review process for me (1 day instead of 2 weeks!) so many thanks to them - you can grab the latest version on the app store right now

Please let me know if you've got any thoughts/suggestions about the game. If it proves popular enough, I'm maybe going to look at expanding it with some more music styles/tracks.

Can you make it universal? I liked it, but I almost always play on just my new ipad since my iphone is too full with junk.
